Isn't it strange that throughout human history major changes in society one way or another happened BECAUSE of visions, dreams, or some other event or occurance that can't be scientifically explained or documented?
The Bible's full of strange bizarre happenings everyone whose Christian believes, the founding of Islam happened from a vision, the country of Mexico began as a dream, which their flag shows.
People, especially nowadays, are extremely skeptical of anything they haven't experienced themselves or think you're on drugs if you do have a vision.
I've practiced Shamanism (without inebriants) for a few years and visions or 'journeying' was normal. But you don't talk about it because others won't or can't understand. Other practitioners do though and it's fascinating to exchange experiences and information.

The problem with religious experiences is that they seem perfectly real to those having them, and perfectly unreal to everyone else. Nonetheless, there is no credible evidence at this time that religious experiences are anything more than hallucinatory phenomena generated by sources yet to be determined. One possible source may be electromagnetic irregularities generated in the earth's crust that appear to be able to alter the brain's chemistry. Thus, we may have a possible explanation not only for religious experiences, but also for sacred sites where many people go in search of messages, miracles, and visions.

Many people may have seen manifestations of things, I'm not really in a position to say they haven't. The thing that makes it skeptical is that many people lie and make things up, so you really don't know when someone is being honest or not. I'm not saying it isn't possible, but it might be on the less probable side of things much of the time.

People are afraid of that which may make them question what they believe in. There are many liars and charlatans about, but it is sooo arrogant to belittle a person's personal revelation. I should assume that you'd already be taking the person in question's sanity into question, but if they are sane, why disregard? OH, people do need to wake up.
Blessed Be.

I cant speak for all religious ppl, but I would not deny anyone their belief in "manifestations" ..as a christian and native american, my beliefs would probaly seem pretty weird to most "religious ppl" .. we believe in the spirit world... and angels and demons... so brother if you say you see jesus on a piece of toast or a bagel or a tree stump-- you wont hear me say anything....i have seen things that i still have a problem believing

I don't know, but this is a very good question that I would also like to know the answer to. Curious why people feel the need to deny that anyone else has more spiritual experience than them.

In the new testiment The Lord said He would not be speaking to Mankind,or sending His Angels untill armageddon.....Anyone who know's the Bible can tell you that...But most people aren't secure about their religion and just follow as their parents taught them.

People tend to question what they don't understand. So when a Christian refers to something they've seen or heard, non-believers have no frame of reference to help them understand or believe it. And it's human nature to fear something you don't understand. On the other hand, once you've met the Lord and seen his miracles at work, your faith is increased and your blessings heaped up to overflowing.

stupid skeptics. They should just let people believe what they want to believe. I mean, really, why does it matter to anyone else? It's not going to affect them whether they saw anything or not.
