i have installed a lotta software and uninstalled many others so when i went to my registry i found so many entries that i have uninstalled a long time ago but they still exist and dont contain anythin nd r taking so much space....i have ccleaner but i need a better FREE software then will delete all those unused entries and fix my reg cuz im also gettin a lotta pc errors....thnx

You can use regcleaner ( http://www.worldstart.com/weekly-download/programs/regcleaner.exe ). You can use system mechanic ( http://www.iolo.com/ )if you want clean registry easily.

If you have alraedy uninstalled the programs, chances are the only things left in the registry are the holding folders. If this is the case you can just delete those; but WHATEVER you do ALWAYS backup your regitry before you make any changes to it.

And, even then I would only delete one thing at a time, just to be on the safe side.

To keep your registry in working order, go to www.microsoft.com and type in search box for ‘(MBSA) Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer"’...you will find it very useful.

Use "Registry Cleaner". You can get this software @ www.download.com
