well ya its true that we are dependent on fossil fuels but there is still a lot time in finishing of our fossil reserves.
we have quite a many alternatives but so far we have not been able to develop the technology so far. solar energy, water enery, wind energy and geothermal energy are some good alternatives.
but the most used fuel in the future would be hydrogen. work has already started in making up of the cars which utilise hydrogen.

Due to the fat that almost everybody uses oil and gas in some way shape or form there is no alternative. Our mode of transportation is the internal GAS combustion engine. That is the path we have started and until the air becomes incredibly polluted,to the point where you can not breathe,we will use more and more gas...tom science

Hydrogen for vehicles and nuclear energy for electricity. Renewable sources of energy ( solar, wind, tidal, geothermal etc) could significantly contirbute to our energy needs in the future

Nutty says air. I say water. But. Then I started thinking. Is their hydrogen in air? But. Then I started thinking again. Compressed air? Compressed water? Does water compress? Water expands. I guess water compresses.

I bet we use somthing ordinary in a completly new way.

I think it will be a mixture of things combined...

but I think the one that "Nutty Prof" said is the one for the FUTURE lol (think about it, compressed air, not just wind mills and stuff)
