Some people are just good at growing these things, they do not like growing tea or coffee, or any other substitutes. With so many wars going on in the world, and so much sickness and suffering, surely there is a medical need for narcotics, and other legal pharmaceuticals that are made from these things, so why don't we allow it, in a controlled environment, of course. Don't get me wrong, I do not mean illegal drugs, I mean licenced pharmaceutical medicines.

I totally agree. The drug companies made most of these drugs "illegal" just so they could sell their own drugs and make BILLIONS. It's a proven fact!!

Nothing wrong with the Marjuana, but cocaine and opium? The opium itself isn't really a problem unless you're addicted to it (which is too easy) . And if we legalize opium it would be too easy for ppl to turn it into morphine and laudnum and heroin. Bad idea. And cocaine? You want cocaine to be legalized? It doesn't help anything at all. Cocaine has always been a drug. Never a pain killer, never medicine. Crack is whack, man, crack is whack.

But Marijuana, nothing wrong with that. In Cali, you only get in trouple if you have less than an ounce. Ohio was that was to, until too many Kentuckians started coming over to smoke weed.

Pure opium is used under medical supervision for cancer of the bone marrow. I have heard that this is the only way to give these sufferers relief from this terrible pain.

Marijuana is prescribed by some doctors for the pain in relation to cancers and arthritic pain.

Dont know about cocaine - I think it is a deritative (I hope that is the correct word) of another pure drug.

When in pain from an uncurable, fatal disease, what does it matter if you become addicted - isnt it better than having to endure a slow painfull death?

I think that there are a lot of what I call "do gooders" out there who have absolutely no idea of what its all about - lack of educating themselves and researching the subject.

Medical science knows what to do - but the polies always interfere.

as far as weed it is medically legal in 11 states today and growing. the gov. has tried to stop it, but since states govern themselves the goverment has had no success stoping it.

also the hemp from the plant has 1000s of uses, one is hydrogen.
marijuana has a bad rap, it is the most misunderstood of all drugs, because of ignorance.
thc is the high, but cbd is the side effects (munchies, sleepy, lazy, etc.) all of which can be breed out.

what can we do with these drugs that would categorize them as pharmaceutical medicines? People who abuse them are now on medication to keep from killing themselves. How can we turn it around? Call on me when you think of an answer to that one genius.
