1. Tie (or handcuff) him to the bed

It sounds like both of you are submissive. There are three options that I can think of:
1) One of you decides to be the Dominant, i.e. the lesser submissive. Of course, that would probably be a problem in the long run for the "Dominant" one, and a problem for one is a problem for both.
2) Be vanilla. Don't let D/s get involved in you daily lives. This, however, might cause confusion when it comes to nocturnal activities.
3) Learn to switch. It's not precisely D/s, but you can tend towards it. Figure out what arenas each of you prefer to be submissive in, and if they differ, then you can divide up the power exchange. In the bedroom, switch there often. You can even make a game of it. (For example, play a hand of poker. Winner gets to be on bottom. :-) )
This is something that the two of you need to discuss openly and honestly. Figure out your motives and learn his. Only by free communication can you determine how best to proceed with your relationship.
