My husband came here as an illegal immigrant so did my brother in law. My brother in law is still and illegal, he works for minimum wage at McDOnalds. FYI, employees at McDOnalds pay taxes, they pay social security they pay into disabitily and then cant claim it when they need it. and as of recently the vant get medical either, so maybe all of you should get the facts straight before you start spouting off about all that illegals are supposedly doing to our country, grow up, and care a little bit more about why we are bombing people in another country to gain oil. and to the idiot who siad his ancestors came here legally, come on you think it was legal to steal land 200 years ago? The reason our laws limit how many poor immigrants can come here has nothing to do with whether they are good people or would work hard and pay taxes. Even when poor people do all of those things their taxes are so low that the services they and their families use, such as education and health care, are primarily paid for by the rest of us. The reason Mexico, for example, does not pay for universal education for its poor people is that this is very expensive. We pay for it for our poor people, and when it was just a few, or a few hundred thousand illegal immigrants coming to take our subsidized services, we didn't beef much, because we do understand that we have it better than most. However, we can't take in so many it hurts education for our own people and health care for our own people, and it has long since passed that point.
The number of illegal immigrants is now huge, and so is the problem. We need limited immigration, and we need to enforce our laws.

Illegal immigration is just that illegal and no illegals dont' pay taxes because when and if they do when they file their taxes at the end ofthe year they qualify for earned income credit because they have 6 kids and don't make enough money. You say no medical insurance and that is why our hospitals in California are bankrupt from taking care of illegal immigrants who don't pay for the care they get. Yes and if Chinese, Catholics etc are here illegally yhey should be kicked out too. And if illegal immigration is so great why is the Mexican Army on it's southern border to stop Salvadorans and Nicuaquqns from getting into Mexico? And why does the Mexican law call for illegal immigrants found there to be sent to jail for 2 yrs and then be deported. You are a hypocrite and a supporter of criminals.I guess that makes you and bad person too.

Illegal immigrants don't pay taxes because they're paid under the table. They get paid less than minimum wage, which is destructive because companies should be paying minimum wage to its employees. It hurts everyone when they lower wages in certain industries. They don't get benefits, and so they end up in the ER and they skip out on all their medical bills, leaving taxpayers to pay for them. They send their money back to Mexico, which means that they're not contributing to consumer spending (which would stimulate economic growth). The list goes on.....LEGAL immigrants do pay taxes, get paid appropriately, and do it the RIGHT way. The U.S. has to enforce immigration laws within its own borders! Mexico doesn't put up with illegal immigration, so why should we?

Who's worried? This is about stopping illegal immigration. Mexico's got Serious Problems or 10% of their population wouldn't be jumping the fence to get into the United States.
Do you want to see problems like that in the US, too? If not, how about backing up the law, for a change?

because they are here illegally. They take the jobs that are there for americans. I know that you people would say that they do the Jobs that americans won't, but believe me, as a teenager theres not very many jobs that i wouldn't do to get paid. I support immigration that is legal. My ancestors came over 200 years ago to make a better life for themselves, they weren't bad people, and they did it legally!!! and they dont have to work for less money, they choose to. if they were legal, and educated, they could do whatever they wanted

I think your confused. I've never heard anyone complain about immigration.
I love legal immigration, I don't like illegal immigration. Get in line. There is a legal process to go through. We are a nation of laws.
How are we to admire people who come here and the first thing they do is break our immigration laws?

I live near the Mexican border in New Mexico. Growing up we saw Mexican nationals walking around town a lot. Now they are everywhere and sit in front of quick mart stores (that's not the name) they are everywhere. The main problem is if they can come across so can terrorist of Mid Eastern decent. They are hard to tell apart if they dress the part, that is until they speak but who says they can't practice. If they can learn to fly they can learn to camo their accents to mimic Mexican nationals. My cousin was home asleep one night when a mexican national tried to come in the window. He told her he would do that during the day and he wasn't joking. She was only a teenager then but thankfully someone was there to protect her (family member.
Children aren't safe with all these people running around like they are. Our country isn't safe

They have to have something to pin their frustrations, and hate on. Why not the immigrants every other minority has had their time to persecuted, hated, and tormented. They are bad people in every walks of life right now they need that subject to try and justify themselves for the hatred that they carry towards our fellow man.
