I have heard through the grapevine that a pugs eyes have a good chance of just a poppin out a sockit. Lets say they do pop out and I am freaking out..what do I do?

I've worked at a Vet clinic for 3 years now. I have seen 2 cases when a pug's eye has randomly popped out of the socket, and heard of one more. So, it is rare but possible.
If it happens, don't touch it. Don't let the dog paw at it or otherwise injure itself. You will be tempted to cover it with something, DON'T. You will be causing more damage by maybe scratching the eye surface or causing bacteria to get in. Get to an Emergency vet right away. Call now and find one so you don't have to worry if the time comes.
Again, very rare.
Oh, the story I heard from another Vet Tech. This family was at the Thanksgiving dinner table (so everyone in the family was there, grandma, the kids, everyone). During the prayer the pug walks into the dining room and sneezes-eye popped right out. Ruined the whole dinner.

Do not listen to that last answer, dogs I can and do pop out. Its not as uncommon as you'd think in those types of breeds, and can happen for many reasons. I have worked at and ER vet for over 6 years and have seen at least 20+ cases of this happening. The important thing to remember is to keep the dog from injuring itself further, and get to a vet immediately.

It is possible but my mom has a pug and his eyes have not popped out and i think she has had him for about 5 years now.

call your vet immedeatly they can normaly pop them back in, there is also a very small chance like 1 in a thousand chance that his eyes will pop out.

It is in there genes that eyes bulge out, thats normal, usually prone to eye infections,unless your dog is a mixed breed, then chances are they won't.

They will not pop out. Have you heard of a humans eyes popping out?? your dogs eyes are well fitted in its sockets and you need not worry about whether they'll pop out and where they'll go after that(just kiddin!).Your dogs eyes will oly pop out if you accidentaly sit on him(kiddin again). Please don't worry, YOUR DOGS EYES WILL NEVER POP-OUT!!!!
