Each Nation (Tribe) is different. You must be able to document your bloodline and get a Degree of Indian Blood. Contact the Tribe and be ready to document your family tree to connect it to someone else that is on the role. It will depend on what your degree is if you can get on the role. Some won't let you be on if you are less than 1/4 degree. Same thing for what kind of benefits you can get. Some have college assistance some have per capita payments but I don't know what the Apache Nation has specifically. There are several different distinct groups within the Nation and they are in different regions of the country. Many families hid their lineage when it was not cool to be of Native American decent and that now makes it difficult to document as it is needed to get on the role.

No. You need to be enrolled. Are you White Mountain, San Carlos, Yavapai Apache? There are more. It is a myth that all tribes get money from the infamous casinos. You can get funds if you are enrolled for education purposes. Go to the BIA website to see what Federally Recognized Tribe you are first.

As far as I know, you would have to be a member of the band and live on the reservation to get a hand out. That's fair because most reservations have a high rate of poverty and unemployment. I'm of partial native descent myself, and I don't live on a res, and I would rather receive money for doing something useful.

If you can prove that you're 1/8th( I think it's 1/8th,anyways) or better native American, you're eligible for your entire college education to be paid for,and certain tax privileges but I don't know about free money.
