The dialling code for Canada from England is 1 There is more than one area code for BC (it's an entire province and it's huge), but for instance, if you were to call Vancouver, most numbers would use area code 604. To dial out of England on a land line phone you dial 00, or on a mobile (cell) phone, you start the number with a + So on a landline, the number is 001-604-xxx-xxxx on a mobile, it is +1604xxxxxxx the "x" bit is the number of the phone you are calling, which will have a unique 7-digit number. Most cell phones allow you to dial a "+" character by hitting the * key twice in rapid succession. Despite what the other poster said, dialling 011 won't work from England. It will work from the USA but not England. A number of trunk dialling area codes in England start with 011 (for instance Leeds is 0113 and Sheffield is 0114). ALL international numbers start 00 from England when using a land line.

Yes. All of BC except for Vancouver, Whistler and lower Mainland, which is 604 and 778.
250 is fairly new. 5 or 10 years. All of BC use to be 604. So you may find old phone books or old on line information might not list the new codes.
