well if you get wic they pay for the food for the baby. diapers you can get at walmart *parents choice diapers* for about 6 bucks for a bag or 11 bucks for a jumbo bag of the same brand, which depending on the size my daughter wheres a size 4 which size 4's have 34 and she uses one small bag a week but when they are newborns they go threw them faster and you can get a box of wipes containing over 400 wipes from walmart for 9 bucks the brand is parents choice which my daughter uses prolly 150 wipes a month. diaper cream u can get for 2 bucks at family doller bottles u at least need 4 and the playtex nurser ones work great which u can get for i'd say at least 10 bucks and the liners that go in them u can get 250 for i think 3 bucks and clothing it depends on the weather during the summer all u really need to buy are onesies and sunscreen which are prolly 5 bucks for a 3 pack of onesies which u can get at family dollar ...... It also depends on where you live if you live in a big city it cost alot more but i live in a small town prolly 500 people max

11 - diapers
9 - box of wipes
2 - diaper rash cream
10 - bottles
3 - liners
10 - onesies
10 - sunscreen

Well first the cost of diapers or diaper service. It is usually a four to five diapers a day. So that is 35 a week. Then the cost of feeding. Formula varies by price but it is expensive even if you get it at WalMart. Then you have to get a weekly price for health insurance. I presume you are stayin home with baby. So no childcare costs. Don't forget clothes, baby toys like mobiles but you usually get them as gifts in the beginning.

Depending on where you live about $100.00 -$150 a week. Can save money buying formula, diapers in bulk. Breast feeding will save money too.

You thinkin of having a baby?

Good Luck

Well..There is daycare while you work and for an infant it could run $200 wk depending on where you live. Then you have formula and food as well as diapers. You have a sick baby or a well baby you still have medical bills. They get even more expensive as they get older. Try $5,200 for a set of braces or $15,000.00 for a three day hospital stay when they get pneumonia. Rent for a 2 bdrm is considerably higher than a 1 bdrm...
There are many more expenses than you imagine.... You WILL EASILY spend a thousand dollars a month taking care of a child... Easily...

What you get at a baby shower might do for the first month. Babies have a tendency to grow, out grown their clothes. Then of course there are the doctor visits. Babies go from breast/formula to solids before they are a year old. Never assume you're going to get everything you need for a baby at a shower because it just isn't going to happen. In a week you can spend well over $100.00 just for the baby. That is every week until that baby is on their own.

Dont think its not expensive. I had 2 Premature Babies. Both spent months in the hospital. You never know if you will have a sick baby and for how long. I also spend $1400.00 per month on daycare. Thats 3 days in a daycare center and 2 1/2 days at home with a family member. Dont forget diapers are approx $15.00 per package and the formula I needed for my preemies were $25.00 per can. You need to be sure you can financially support your children or you might be in financial trouble. I waited until I was married, had my house for 5 years and had a substancial savings before I considered having my children....good luck!

You can never be financially prepared enough for a child, me and my boyfriend both work and are expecting our own baby. we have thought ahead about costs etc and we will only have say £100/150 left over a month. We dont have much money as it is and we still have a few bits to buy the baby, although family are generously buying the cot and moses basket. When you feel ready then dont worry about the money because as parents we learn to make sacrafices and it all works out well in the end.

it depends on what kind of lifestyle you live, what do you want for your baby? food is very general, formula - rice cereal - baby food - juice thats just the first year! include diapers, wipes, doctor bills, medicine, pictures, baby lotion, baby wash, baby detergent, vitamens, teething gel. Then what happens after you run out of the stuff from the baby shower. the next stage car seat is about 100 bucks right there. Plus any kind of things u do with your baby... seeing santa, easter bunny, halloween costume. Should I go on???? I could for days but I think I made the point. Good luck and start saving!

According to a billboard sponsored by Planned Parenting here locally, the cost to raise a baby is $911 a month approximately. That's about $227.75 per week.

It cost a lot of money. There is no way to give you an estimate because all babies need different things.

It depends where you shop at. Also it depends on if you are going for all branded items. It also depends of your social status. So it is very difficult to give a rough estimate for your baby.
