Im turning my back on all religious organizations, laws and rules and asking Jesus to turn me to Him only. With all religion behind me Im waiting for Him to come to me and let me see His face. I feel the power of their influence like the suns heat on my spirit back...but none the less...its all behind me...Any advice from any ancients or elders or mystics ?

Follow your own path...don't take anybody else's word for what is right or wrong.

Err, if your considering following a esoteric path. Such as Paganism, Shamanism, Druidism, Wiccan, etc...you should probably know that they are religions :). See here's what I figure - Christianity isn't really a religion. Its this hodgepodge of different practices and traditions and aspects all in an effort to control the people their missionaries were marching on. So when you read about the Hecate, or Isis, or Cerennous - their all basically the same god. Their basically Jesus. The only difference is that their old school and Jesus is some freaky remix.

No religion is necessary to have the experience you are 'expecting'...only faith and a deep feeling of spirituality. But, are you requesting that Jesus somehow change your mind about religion by 'showing his face' to you? This is purely you and an unreasonable expectation for a very specific kind of mystical and/or miraculous event which would then...you predict...result in your conversion to some kind of religion...Christianity?

I am a total believer in God!I'm not sure about religion anymore.I'm not sayin I wouldn't go to church at all,it's just that what is religion?Did some man say I read the bible and it means this?My Friend doesn't think so,so I guess I'll make a different church so others will believe as I do.Religion should be personal,in my opinion.♥

you should actually be asking God, he is the highest power. There is nothing wrong with turning your back on organized religion. Organized religion has only shown us throughout history that it has been used to control, mame, and kill people because of their beliefs. you are right in the fact that you should focus on your own spirituality and not a religion. What is important to God is what is in our hearts, and he know better than us sometimes what is in it.

go ahead and turn your back on religious organizations, because none of those organizations will get you to heaven you and only you can do that. Jesus isn't a religion anyway, so as long as you don't turn your back on him you still have a chance but don't wait until he turns his back on you, because if you wait for that you will awaken in hell.

As long as you don't turn your back on love, respect and all your principles and values, you'll be on the right track. You can see Jesus in all the people who expect love and compassion from you. Don't worry about not following any religion, God knows you well, God is always with you, whenever you call It, God is right there, wherever you are. Take care

Leviticus 19:31
" 'Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.

To know Jesus, you need to know the word of God, the bible. John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
That is in reference to Jesus, who is the Word incarnate. Get yourself a bible. God bless

Do what is right for you and don't let others try to change your mind. I was brought up christian but have recently changed my beliefs. To be quite honest I feel that religion of any kind is just a lot of brainwashing but spirituality....that's true. Take care and good luck on your journey!

Not all religions request that you believe in Jesus only.

There are many fine people here to give fine advice, whether they be of Theistic or Atheistic beliefs, but you might want to specify what it is you want advice on first.

Best wishes.

I was in meditation the other day.. Actually I'm often in meditation... I sat with Jesus and Buddha... Buddha told me to continue with his methods, learn and grow in my soul true compassion, love and wisdom just as all masters have taught. Jesus then told me, once you have cleared your mind of all the nonsense, having destroyed your ego I can introduce you to God and then it will be up to you to go further.

But it was made clear to me by both of them that God will not be interested if even one piece of ego remains in my soul.

I turned to Buddha as if to ask him "is this the truth" he only put his arm around Jesus... and wrote in my mind "this is the way it is"
“Love all the world”… My body was flooded with tears of sadness and happiness.

See this in your mind…"I inhale pain and suffering and only expel love". Concentrate on this and your ego will die and you will love to live and live to love.
Drink this and your soul will never thirst for love again.
