i have puffy hair and some parts of it is straight and it's weird but i want to get a perm adn i already don't take care of my hair like im souppose to how should i take care of myhair when i have a perm

perms are nothing to be scared of and not all of them are permanent and if you havent dyed your hair before you should have no problem

a week before you perm it get a deep conditioning treatment(of do it yourself, cholesterol is a really good conditioner & you can find it at just about any drug staore). Wait about two weeks after you perm it & deep condition it again & keep doing it every one to two weeks. You should also use a leave in conditioner like Infusium 23.
Be sure NOT to condition your hair just after you have it permed, your curls may fall or you may lose them altogether(not your hair just the curl)
To the person who posted above, perms are NOT completely safe, it depends on how much the hair has been chemically treated & the over all health. If the hair is in bad condition it can actually melt off or turn to mush & break apart. Your stylist most likely wont perm your hair if she feels it wont be able to handle it.

You're not asking a question, you're just telling us what you want to do, and why you might not do it.
Wait there it is, if you get a perm and your hair falls out, whats the point of taking care of it? It's true that sometimes the chemicals can react violently in diffent people's hair because of the oils, how the hair is, etc etc. If you're brave do it, if not, don't?

when u get a perm they put some kind of stuff in ur hair and it won't damage ur hair also DON"T i repeat DONT wet ur hair after 24 hours of getting a perm cause then it will fall out and also use shampoo that is made for permed hair

Perms are completely safe, unless you henna your hair.
No need to be fearful of them. make sure you have a real hairdresser do it though and not a Friend. I have seen really messed up hair in my time when a Friend decides to experiment on a Friend!

if u start putting chemicals in ur hair u will hav 2 treat it otherwise it will be in a worse condition than it is now.my advise try & get abottle of 'ic hair polisher' it tames hair & keeps it soft
