One thing, you have to accept change as part of life. If you embrace the idea that things change, it can be exciting because you are looking forward to new, exciting experiences. The first step is to talk about it which you are doing here. Good for you.
If you lock yourself in room, you have to ask yourself, how is that going to make you feel better?
Cherish your friends and family and do nice things for them and show them you care about them and they will do the same for you. Participate in life. Love someone passionately.
Get yourself a pet. They always make you feel better with their unconditional love.

Turn on a light. When you get the blahs some people will sit in the dark, this leads to seasonal affective disorder. I know this is normally associated with winter, but if you sit in the dark long enough it can effect you at any time of the year.
Also try multi vitamins because if your body's nutrients are out of whack, that can lead to being irritable.
These are some simple solutions to try first.
edit- Oh wow! Just glanced through your other questions and see your from Alaska. Depression is horrid up there because of how the days and nights are disproportionate. You should look for local therapy and get with people who are experts in seasonal mood changes.

so you get depressed when something changes. so you don't like change. join the club. we've got over a million members now. =) the worst thing to do for depression is think you're the only one with the problem. singling yourself out only makes things worse. the best thing i've found to combat depression is to focus on others. or just think of things that are constant that make you happy. here are some of mine:
a fully stocked fridge, a book/movie that never gets old, smelling fresh produce at the grocery store, buying new shoes, holding the puppies in petsmart, visiting some friends in the nursing home...etc.
think of the things that you enjoy, that bring you joy. force yourself to do something besides go to your room. find someone who can be a support partner when you get depressed, to encourage you to get out of the hole BEFORE you crawl into it. hope this helps!

You are in charge of your life.
You need to go to the doctor and have a complete physical to make sure that you have no illnesses or problems causing your depression.
Are you taking any medication or doing any kind of drugs. These can cause mood shifts.
Seek counseling. Talk to parents, family, clergy, doctor. Don't think you can come out of this alone.

Become a lesbian! It worked for me. Girls understand more about your feelings and so called "attitudes",we all have them from time to time. They can also give you the happiness that you want cause most of us want the same thing but cant seem to get it from guys!!!

I can't solve that problem without knowing what makes you depressed.
But, you most likely do know, so talk to somebody intelligent whom you trust about the subject or if it continues extensively/ makes you suicidal then get therapy.

splash water in ur face, slap urself, jump up and down, bang ur face on a brick wall, and spin around in circles for 2 hours. U will have knocked some sense back in ur head after u wake up from fainting.
