Maybe because it is fermented cabbage.

I guess it is the same formula for both:
Dog+water+bacteria=stench.
Cabbage+water+bacteria=stench. And I guess if the dog has been rolling in stagnant water, it could only enhance the formula's outcome, more stench.
Speaking of sauerkraut, I want a Reuben Sandwich, I do not care for a wet dog, thanks anyway. LOL.

Didn't you know that's what 'sauerkraut' means? It means 'smells like wet dog'

I don't usually smell the foods I eat and compare them to how my dog smells.

You could always just ask yourself why a peanut is the same size of your brain..

um. i don't know but it smells way worse after my husband eats it and he farts in bed.

dutch ovens are so evil.
