I usually name my pets after they do something that brings to mind a name. Like my wire haired terrier came down the stairs with oil paints all over his nose from pushing it into the paint pallete. Thus the name Leonardo De Vinci which was shortened to "Leo". He was definately a Leo all his life.

Another poodle was always curious about everything and he got named "Rocky" for Rockford Files the tv show.
