I'm pretty sure that there are people- naiive or extreme thrill seekers who are just dying to have a look at what's going down in Baghdad, Beirut or tribal Afghanistan. Is it organised to any extent?

Yes, this is a serious question. I'm not talking about people who are PAID to be there.

Yes, there are still some people who enjoy the thrill of being in a war situation and will not mind paying to be nearby one. Usually, it is not organised, nor like a free and easy package.

Yes, they have a bright red double decker tour bus that goes through the heart of Iraq's war zone and a bunch of middle age suburban housewives take their kids to see the sights and sounds of places like Abu Ghraib and Fallujah. You can also get Bed and Breakfast at the Baghdad Hotel and wine and dine while rubbing elbows with famous celebs like Moqtada al Sadr or members of Saddam's former elite guard along the way. Quite fun. You should try it. ;)

War tourism definitely exists.

They're called "television reporters".

Yes, it's called INFANTRY. You can get more info at your local ARMY recruiters office.
