I was the same way. Try water, believe it or not. If you can't do water, drink Propel energy drink (a bit more fruity). For me, the more water I drank, the less soda I needed. And the less soda I drank, the less addicted to it I became. Where I used to drink about 4-5 cans per day in high school, I now drink about 1 can every other day. I'd stay away from cool aide type stuff do to it's similarity...have fun unaddicting!

I used to drink soda all the time, the thing is your taste buds become used to the taste. The only way to change this habit is to start drinking juices like orange, pineapple anything that takes your fancy. Get real thirsty before you drink them and at other times drink water and juices will become your new treat. Beware though stuff like this takes time and will power if you don't have that good luck with the sodas.

Well, most diet soda doesn't have any calories, carbs, or fat, if you're worried about that. A lot of the times the diet doesn't taste that different. I like Diet Cherry Coke or Sprite Zero.

What's really great is flavored sparkling water. It's great for you, and comes in lots of flavors at the grocery store. At my Vons, you get a large bottle from 50 cents to $1 each. Tons of flavors like raspberry, mango, apple, lemon lime, grape.

Crystal light has a powder packet that you can pour in a bottle of water. I use my empty soda bottles. You shake it up and it's so good. It has no calories or sugar or anything in it so it's good for you.. They have Peach tea, orange, lemonade, raspberry and several other flavors that are good. Walmart sells a cheaper brand..smart value or smart buy or something like that. it's sold in the kool aid section. Try it.

I stopped drinking soda for a year and half and switched to lemonade and gatorade. You've just gotta switch around otherwise you'll get sick of it. Now I drink sodas like Coke Zero and Diet Mountain Dew. They aren't as yummy as the real thing so I drink a lot less of it. :)

Sometimes I just add club soda to juice. The other day I had club soda with a lime and it actually was not too bad. :)

You can go for either carbonated water, or flavored water. They are good come-offs for heavy sodas like Coke and Pepsi.

I am with you there... I'm trying to cut down as well. I usually just drink whatever is lying around that's sweet. Juices and stuff usually quench me just as good as pop does (especially lemonade). If you need carbonation, try sparkling water.

Try club soda flavored with natural juices, lime, lemon, or something more exotic like pomegranate....
