Mexicans are darker skinned because they live in Mexico. Mexico is very hot on average. If they had lighter skin like some Americans or Canadiens they would burn and get skin cancer.

Two seperate interests there. The people who inhabited Mexico 200 years ago did not want to become a part of the United States.

Canada at least has an olympic team something that mexico can't pull off since everyone that can run swim or jump is already in America so I would say no it would not be part of the us and no it would not be like Canada, and yes this is totally a racist question!
What makes you think skin color has anything to do with it? Come on it's not like their ancestors were sold as slaves or anything! Get a life!

It is another Canada. Canada is a semi-socialist country with various cradle to grave programs. Its most infamous is its inefficient government health care. A country that is famous for its social welfare programs, is socialistic.
Mexico is a semi- socialist country in that its most important industry, oil, is run by the inefficient government. Other very important industries telecom etc. were until recently run by the government. The Canadian and the Mexican economies are mediocre.
As a side issue by the way, a very important Californio during the Mexican American war wanted and waited for California to become part of the US, this greatest one was Mariano Vallejo. He disbanded his military in what was northern Alta California, Sonoma. He knew more about the philosophy of the US founding fathers than most of the officers and soldiers fighting for the US!

Mexicans are people too! It's not the country or the color of the person, it's the quality of the person! Besides, Mexico owned the U.S. first! No lie- research history!

Why in the hell does the color of their skin matter in the issue of what country they live in?? If all Mexicans were white, they would still live in Mexico. Just like if ALL Americans were white, we would still live in America.

This is not about color, it is about universal education paid for here for poor people, and lack of the same in other countries, including Mexico. Canada has no need to flock here and doesn't. Their benefits are at least as good as ours. However, if we sent 12 to 20 million of our poor up there to leach off of their public health system (something WE don't have) that might be a similar comparison. I promise you, they wouldn't like it.

We limit the immigration of poor people, because even if poor people pay all applicable taxes for their income group, the vast majority of the cost of education and other services for them and their families is paid for by others. Essentially, the funds needed for our own people, our children and our sick, need to stretch to cover all of the foreigners illegally here. That ruins these services for our own people, on top of the subsidy we are paying for people who came in violation of our laws.

Importing poverty is bad policy for any country. Uneducated poverty is worse, because it takes generations to overcome. However, the only alternative to this lack of education, if they stay, is to give them even more educational benefits at the expense of losing those benefits for our own children. That worsens the inequity for our own.

Your answer is , yes they would be treated different... This is no surprise for the simple fact when you have a cultural bridge to across it is harder to understand a person. Still in America we have laws that are set up for a good reason, and they must be followed.

hard question to answer. i mean, we annexed texas from mexico prob because they weren't white....and we...Europeans (not me) stole America from US (me, Native Americans) so...if we were white america probably would've made a treaty...but maybe not because they were and still are super greedy (not all just some, mostly politicians) So...they probably would still be their own country. we just would have some ties there.
