You can wear those colors if you want to be a walking target.

Well I don't live in the ghetto, but when I get some money I go to my local ghetto to buy clothes lol, thats where the hip hop clothing stores are. Anyways, the place looks worse then what they show South Central to be on the hood movies; and on the news, the same place (North Tulsa) is a story everyday about gang violence and murders etc. And one time on the news, at a high school a bunch of blue wearers, were stomping a red wearer to the ground, and it was later said he wasn't even involved in a gang, just wearing a color. Gangs are stupid anyway, you're nothing unless you're the leader, you're making him money.

When I first moved to Los Angeles and I saw Compton, I thought it was pretty nice. A car in every driveway and a lot of palm trees. South Central looks the same. They look like middle class neighborhoods during the day.

You see normal people doing normal things. You don't see (at least I didn't) gang members on corners shooting at each other.

While the movies exaggerate a lot, there is a reason why one of the best Trauma Centers in the country was there. They specialized in treating gun shot wounds, and would have military surgeons come in for training and techniques!

It depends on what ghetto/area you're in, colors are often very significant. And movies are on many fronts sometimes exaggerations, but not always.

compared to other areas in LA, they are pretty bad, but every area has its crime, just stay to yourself, and don't start trouble.
