Does Joel Osteen preach as "self-esteem" "do what makes you feel good" type message> If so, don't you think that instead he should be warning his audiences that we are sinners in need of forgivness> "wolf in sheep's clothing"??

On larry King Live, Osteen wouldn't admit that Jesus is the only way to God! He later apologized in a letter.

Joel Osteen is awesome. I have caught some of his shows on one of the many religion channels that directv provides. He is really a good preacher. I would love to go to an actual sermon of his if his tour ever comes to my area. I looked it up on the internet and the tickets are only like $10, we can't even go see Billy Graham for $10. But all the same, I still would rather see my pastor any day over any one else. Joel's programs make people feel good, the way he talks and presents himself it is totally uplifting. I think he is an honest and true minister.

I have only seen Osteen once before and not enough to know what he preaches. But if, in fact he is preaching self-esteem "do what makes you feel good" type messages then I would have to say he must be great. Truly enlightened individuals can see that feeling good is the way to use your emotions as a compass to receive communication from God and living the gift of life to the maximum!

You should be more affriad of people that write things like

"wow> our country was founded on Christian culture>"

Before you say the Bill of Rights is based on the Ten Commandments you better read them both. Only three out of the ten make it into ANY law. and lying is optional if you are not sworn in.

Here are some quotes from founding fathers. If you make it through them I can give you list of Atheist Presidents too.

"I have found Christian dogma unintelligible. Early in life, I absenteed myself from Christian assemblies."

"Lighthouses are more helpful then churches."

-Benjamin Franklin, American Founding Father, author, and inventor

"Where do we find a precept in the Bible for Creeds, Confessions, Doctrines and Oaths, and whole carloads of other trumpery that we find religion encumbered with in these days?"

"The divinity of Jesus is made a convenient cover for absurdity."

"This would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion in it."

-John Adams, U.S. President, Founding Father of the United States

"Whenever we read the obscene stories, the voluptuous debaucheries, the cruel and tortuous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness with which more than half the Bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we call it the word of a demon than the word of God. It is a history of wickedness that has served to corrupt and brutalize mankind." From - The Age of Reason

"All national institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian or Turkish, appear to me no other than human inventions, set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit. "

- Thomas Paine, English born American author and revolutionary leader (1737-1809).

So many on tv worry about offending someone --- are people really getting so thin skinned that they can't bear to hear about spiritual things? There's nothing preventing sensitive people from turning the channel....
Christians shouldn't be afraid of sharing all the gospel --- I have friends who are of other faiths - they know what I believe - but I don't shove it down their throats everyday either --- I live what I believe - when I mess up - I admit it ---(which I find myself doing a lot)

I am a Baha'i, and I love Joel Osteen. I have never seen him preach anything other than positive messages and trying to improve society and the world through his teachings.

Best wishes.

Paying to hear Billy Graham? Where is this at? All of Billy Graham's crusades have always been free of charge.
