Yes after years and years I finally managed to make Chestnut Stuffing that was as good as hers. She never worked from a receipt so I had noting to follow.

I made home-made biscuits last week. They tasted just like my Mom's used to. It was a great feeling.

My cakes turn out better than my mum's do. Perhaps that's because I used to study my nan (mum's mum) when she used to bake. Cooking? Well, I'm getting there, but I've only been away from home for 18 months!

No..I guess its just one of those things that you just can't seem to get right..or do... I guess thats the way it is. Nobody I know can seem to make Anything Like MOM does. She has that special touch appearently.. I am glad I'm not the only one. lol.

Yeah, but neither of us are any good at cooking!
We have both managed to perfect my Grandma's Shepard's pie recipe, of which I am rather proud. And other than that we rely on Aunt Bessie's I'm afraid!

I certainly hope not. She isn't the best cook, my dad was the cook at our house. I've never made anything as good as his cooking.

no, I prefer to use more spices in my cooking than she does. (except with her pasta sauce, it is the best that I have ever had)
