OKAY LETS GO THROUGH THE FACTS -
1. YOU JUST GOT HER
2. YOU WERE THROWING A RUBBER DUCK IN HER FACE
3. YOU TOOK THE DUCK AWAY FROM HER
4. YOU BOTHERED HER WHILE SHE WAS EATING
5. SHE JUST HAD A LITTER OF PUPPIES
6. OBVIOUSLY SHE IS A FEMALE PROTECTING HER PUPS
7. YOU BACKED OFF AND LET HER KNOW SHE IS IN CHARGE
Pits are not bad dogs, their are bad owners. This breed of dog is obviously not for you. Please read up on how to raise a dog before you take another one. If she just had a litter of pups she is probably cranky, tired and very protective. Please find her a good home with people who know how to take care of her.

If I'm understanding this correctly, you got a 2 year old Pit or she is now 2 years old? In other words how long have you owned her? If you got her when she was 2, it sounds like she didn't have to correct guidance and training when she was growing up. She is showing you her dominance over you, this needs to stop right now. I'm being serious, this can lead to more bitings etc. What you need to do is take on the role of pack leader. This you do by being calm/assertive. Now she is already showing her dominance, and you must become more dominant than her. This is not done by punishment/hitting, etc. To begin when she is in a calm/submissive state, put her collar and leash on her. Walk her around the house or yard which ever. Take her where you want to go, NOT where she wants to take you. By doing this, you are showing her that you are in charge. While doing this, once every few steps or so, tell her to sit. Do not pet her or touch her at this point. Just tell her, 'good'. Now walk with her a little more, and you can mix it up by telling her to sit or lay down, but you must make sure she does these things when you tell her to and not when she wants to. Also, you should only tell her one time. If she does not do what you ask, show her how to sit or lay down. If you are unsure of doing any of these things with her, call a local trainer in your area for assistance. Again, you must get her under control now.

There are many reasons why this could be happening. But the fact the it is a pit bull has nothing to do with it. It's all about dominance with dogs and a responsible pet owner needs to be the alpha in the relationship. It's not something you learn over night but don't give up on your dog. Dog psychology is pretty simple once you learn about it. I'd recomend taking some obediance classes with your dog or even get a book about dog training. The monks of new skete have a book called -how to be your dog's best friend" and it is very effective.

you should never keep an animal that bites you, this means the animal doesnt know you are in charge you really need to think about the fact that a dog that cannot be controled by its owner can be harmful to others.you just need teach the dog you are boss. I have a Doberman Pincher and he is very agressive but never twords me. I have also had a rotwieler and she was like your pit eventualy we had to give her to the pound she was just too uncontrolable, might sound heartless but some dogs just cant be tought. also if you get in a situation were the dog may attack like the growling situation NEVER run or back down the dog will less likely attack if it feels you will fight back also sounds really silly but if you do get attacked bite back it is the best way to stop the attack sounds crazzy but think about it ok the extra info about puppies makes alot of sence shes beeing protective of them or is aggressive because of being sepperated from them. Sounds like you really need to do some research about dogs you will learn that sertain dogs are prone to be aggressive but that dosent mean that they will be unless they are trained that way. I would not suggest that you buy any more naturaly aggressive dogs untill you really learn about their needs and how to teach your dominance over an animal. By the way my doberman has NEVER bitten me or groweled at me but i have always been boss this means being tough at times. Find the dog a caring home with people who understand pitbuls.

The dog has to learn who is the master get some obedience training for her asap, or get rid of the dog. If she continues on like this she will do some serious injury to you or someone else, and you wil be responsible. If nothing else start letting her know that this behaviour is totally unacceptable. Do not ignore this attack or think its a once only incident, and only reward her with a walk ,or food or the toy when she actually does what you say or approve.

first thing never buy a dog after the age of 12 to 18 months old because you do not know how that dog was raised she could have been mistreated or anything /my self i have 3 adult Pitt bulls and they are the biggest babies.... don't get me wrong the do protect us if something is going on.... but they're not an aggressive dog unless they are trained to be or if they are abused so its not just the breed

I hate to say this bluntly, but you should not be owning any dog until you have thoroughly researched proper dog ownership and breed disposition. Pitbull, dobie, rotts and other breeds like them have a bad name because of owners who do not know how to properly raise and train them. They are powerful dogs who need to be kept under control. None of these breeds are good for a first time dog owner. They are great pets, and wonderful family members when attended to properly.

A pitbull is a bad news dog only bred for a few things, protection and killing.they are very dangerous.this is not the dogs fault it is just there nature.some towns/states are now starting to make it regulation to have special insurance on these types of dogs incase it harms or kills someone, someplaces even require a license to own.they can turn on there owner in the blink of an eye and will hurt or kill a child with no hesitation.my best advise to you is,if you dont need a dog for protection, get rid of it by calling the local animal control office,or give it to someone who needs a dog for protection/guarding purposes.for a pet I would suggest a Lab or a Beagle.they are good companions and have a good tolerance around children, and they stilll will alarm you of an intruder at your door..........good luck

You are what give pitbull's a B A D rap. You talk about playing with her today and she bit you and then you say she's a pitbull again and that you bought her tomorrow and you are playing with her tomorrow. What are you trying to do? You are just getting everyone riled up about this breed of dog. SHAME on you!!!!!!!

she has decided you are below her in the pecking order. You have to show that you are the one in charge and she is to obey you... you could end up badly attacked if you are not sure of yourself however, if you are not sure of yourself you might be wiser to give her back and get a more placid dog.... How is it you played with her tomorrow? I'm confused there.
