I mean, like, how's are you going to experience perfect bliss if you know that your husband or your kid is in hell? How wonderful can that be?

Personally, my feelings are that heaven, if it exists, is something so unimaginably different than anything we can describe, that it is quite literally "beyond words" and it almost seems arrogant to think that we can say at all what it is like.

No one's opinion but my own, perhaps, but that's fine with me.

As for knowing who is where the obvious answer is to take a roll call, show of hands, whatever, and if you can't find someone then you can assume that they must be in the other place,,,which would kind of bite if you really missed them or they owed you money but I would guess that in order to land in two such completely opposite places you'd have to be so dramatically different that you'd be able to deal with missing them easily enough. You might want to consider how it is that you seem to be sure that you've got a first class ticket to the God's heavenly country club but question the destination of those closest to you.

Heaven and hell are placed on Earth. The answer is that the rich lady in the Heaven of Hollywood probably don't care about the dying kids in the Hell of Somalia or Liberia.

No. People in hell will know who is in heaven though. Abraham, was given a brief glimpse into the rich man's torment in hell, as told by Jesus, but we have no other incidence given where someone from heaven was allowed to see into hell. There was no mention of Lazarus being able to see the rich man though. The rich man saw both Abraham, and recognized him, even though Abraham had been deceased for many centuries, and he recognized Lazarus, asking that he be sent back to forewarn his brothers of such great torment that would await them if they did not repent. But Abraham said it would do no good to send one back from the dead, for they had the prophets just as he had had. We won't be known by relationships we've had on earth either. We will be known as we are known by God - and this is how we know one another.

Sometimes I feel that hell does not exist because for me it does not.

So I do not believe people go there. But there is a hell because I also believe that if you believe in one than it exists.

So, I actually do not know the answer to that question.

It could be possible that you could potentially wake up that person to the false reality of their thinking and save them.

That's a very good question. I know I could not enjoy myself if I knew that my loved ones are in perpetual agony. Maybe it's best not to know. But then, I do not believe in any of that. Hell is a man-made place of suffering to frighten people into obeying the man-made rules.

When you get to heaven, you won't remember the people you knew because it would make you sad. There is no sorrow in heaven. So, no, people in heaven do NOT know who is in hell. It would ruin the perfect bliss and happiness of heaven.

There will be no tears, no sorrow in heaven.

Some believe you'll know, and some say you wont.

If they have to live, or die, by their choice, than as a wife and mother, all I can do is hope thay make the right one, and leave the rest to God. His wisdom is greater than mine.

They have a heavenly Jumbotron with the names of the hellbound constantly scrolling across it. And oh yeah, everything, no matter what it looks like, tastes like mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Hell is a state of non-existence and heaven is a state of eternity. we have to understand life and death before going beyond and this forum is too short to explain it all but contact me and we could share insights. littletombig@yahoo.com
