Honey, you think sleeping with a night light is a secret? Then my secret is out, because I do too. A first date, remember, is the first impression, and for a lot of people, that's all that counts.It could be fun to tell some anecdotes about you and stuff, but be careful not to cross the line. On the first date, you want to ask about the other person, especially if you are really interested in going out with the person. Asking about them makes them feel special and they kind of know that you are interested. it doesnt mean that you dont have to say things about yourself, but it's not necessary to tell them that you still suck and thumb and sleep with your favorite teddy bear Pooh.

Why would you tell any secrets on a first date? Its too early to know whether that person can be trusted with secrets or not, giving too much info too soon is a serious mistake. First dates are just for getting to know the very basics, what you like to do, what kind of music or movies you like, whats up with your family, very generic things like that. That way if she (or he) turns out to be a jerk they can't go running around telling everyone your secrets. People need to earn that level of trust, give it away and you will get hurt eventually.

No. just tell him some little stories that involve some of your body parts. Like...I want rock climbing yesterday and my shoulder hurts so bad...then touch your collarbone. He will think of the sleep with night light thing by himself after that.
