I'm dating this guy right now. I like him and it's going well. But i dont see us really going anywhere serious in the future. And i hate to date him for a couple years only to end up having to dump him. It doesnt seem worth while. Should i be going out with someone i CAN see myself growing with?

Well, depends on what you want. If you want someone just to have someone, pretty much for sex only, then why not. I have never met a girl I thought would be decent gf material, let alone wife material. It hasn't stopped me from going out and having fun though!

from my experience. there's 2 ways to go into a relationship. 1) u go out w/ someone u feel u can grow with OR 2) u go out w/ someone ur interested in and MAYBE u'll find somethin about that person that u love and u cant be without. ill tell u rite now, u cant mold someone to be ur ideal mate, so u have to accept urself i u can accept him for who he is? if u cant, then it would mature of u to break it off, so u can find what u really want and he can do the same. remember, ur only dating, u 2 are not married =) and dating is a game. so see where the road takes u.

The sole purpose dating is to find the person you could spend the rest of your life with. At least that's what the Bible and everyone who's happily done it says. It's not wrong, but this is one of the most common social paradoxes of the 21st century.
Fact-- Dating is to find someone to marry.
Fact-- You know you can't marry him
Fact-- You are still dating him
Paradox-- If you're not dating to marry, then why are you dating?
Paradox-- Why would you date a guy with whom the primary purpose of dating can't be accomplished?
Yet another way to put it,
Paradox-- Why would you attempt anything with a goal you know cannot possibly be completed
Here's the last way I can think to word this, maybe this will make it all clear:
Why play a game if you know you can't win?
If you have a valid answer to that question, then dating him is okay, but if you can't beat that paradox, then you are wasting time.

Dating this guy is not wrong; but this is the wrong guy to date.

Think about your future, love can be develop easily with responsible man, but if you will get married with a man full of love but in a miserable financial situation, your love will end up into trash and resulted to a divorce because you said you don't have a bright future with the present guy!

Yes. I am currently going out with a guy who I never saw a future with for two and a half year. It's almost impossible to break up with him, since he had done so much for me and we have so much together(financial and property wise). But then if you just want some fun and plan to break up w/ him after 2 weeks, I say just go for it.

That would depend. Be honest with him you may find out he feels the same way you do.
