Religion does not kill, people kill. When that plane crashed into that building, the Lord did not do that, man did. Man has always fought and killed because they feel they are the correct one. We can't live in harmony with each other, so we kill one another. We have choices; we are not programmed robots. We choose to be as we are, to hate and destroy. The wages of sin is death! There are consequences behind sinning, murder, rape, molestation, broken family, the earth groaning for relieve, earthquakes, hurricanes, hailstorms, etc., caused be sin. But the gift of God is eternally life. Why not keep your body clean; there will be less chance of you contracting diseases that will take your life. Is killing yourself having sex, etc. the way you have fun? You need to talk to someone who has been in a near death situation, and you will have a change of attitude. Anyone can be forgiven if they repent and turn from their wrong ways, anybody. HE is merciful.

Repentance is more than an act. It is a realisation that you have done wrong, a remorsefulness for what you have done, and a desire to change. If you intentionally ignore God's laws until you're on your death bed, you are probably missing the attitude of repentance. So generally, no you can't just plan to repent when you're on your deathbed. Besides, what if you die instantly in a car crash or something?

God has a purpose for everyone. If you repent later, it might be too late. Especially, if you set him aside for the lusts of the world. Which is how the devil fools everyone. I call it addiction (smokers, drinkers, junkies, sex addicts, etc.). You choose to repent, God will lead the way. You choose your desires, the devil will lead the way.
Regarding holy wars, it's an ongoing battle (between good and evil) Forgiveness depends if you're fighting for God or The Devil

Yup, it's the old presto-chango death bed repentence! Not to worry, even if you have a "sudden death" you can repent to St. Peter in Heaven. It's a win-win situation. I dont see how anyone could NOT like christianity and its concept of universal forgiveness.

I don't think doing it for that reason will work. Just in case is not the attitude God wants. I don't discount death bed conversions entirely, but the attitude is important.

Also, "Life is but a vapor, here one day and gone the next." Or to put it another way, "Those who wait to the twelfth hour, often die in the eleventh."

you are saved the second you believe Jesus is the true Son of God and that He was sent hear to be a sacrafice to the Lord for our sins, to save us from a doom that awaited many. Jesus fulfilled propechy when He died on the cross... do not be foolish and abuse the glorious gift God personally gave you ok? you do not know when or how you will die that is why it says in the Bible you should always be prepared... Jesus tells a parable about this - to always be prepared and on your gaurd or you will be regreting this very comment for ever... God bless you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ with knowledge. Amen

You are a gambler, right?

You die as you lived. Even if you don't die in an accident tomorrow, by the time you reach your deathbed, your heart will be hardened to the point that you will not WANT to repent.

But how do you know when you will die? What if you die suddenly? You make it sound as if you have to give up your freedom. Well imagine something even better that what you mention in your question. Then give if a shot, it is much better.
