it doesn't exactly drown your brain but it can effect your brain. here is what i'm talking about:
Is it possible to drink too much water?
Several comedians found it necessary to comment: Sure, you could drown! But the fact is, in extreme circumstances too much water can kill you, even if all you do is drink it. Kelly Barrett, a 43-year-old pediatric dentist from Littleton, Colorado, died of a condition known as hyponatremia after drinking too much water during the 1998 Chicago marathon. Hyponatremia, AKA water intoxication, occurs when the body's salt and water levels get dangerously out of balance, leading to swelling of the brain and leakage of fluid into the lungs. It can occur when athletes, hikers, etc., sweat heavily, losing both salt and water, but replace only water. Diagnostic signs: dizziness, disorientation, headaches, extreme fatigue, death. Prevention: salty snacks and sports drinks. So pass the taco chips and Gatorade, bubba, and let's get healthy.

They have documented cases of people who have died by drowning on the inside from drinking too much water. That was only because the water was chugged by the pitcher. It was on one of those news programs a while back.

Sort of.
In medicine, water intoxication (also known as hyperhydration or water poisoning) is a potentially fatal disturbance in brain function that results when the normal balance of electrolytes in the body is pushed outside of safe limits by a very rapid intake of water.

you can if you drink say like 30 glasses of water in 1 hour. I also heard that people in mental hospitals and jail would drink a lot of water really quickly to get a drunk or high feeling because they can't drink there. but thats like 20 glasses or so in half an hour type of thing you would have to drink alot of water in a short amount of time for this to happenl

it is large to drink quite some water and eat healthy, yet i imagine it truly is a question of component administration, fairly. What sturdy does fruit do you in case you gorge your self on it, actual? besides, ingesting healthy calls for a form of ingredients. you want protein, calcium, iron and different supplementations for a balanced weight relief plan. ingesting purely fruit gained't try this for you. i'd recommend ditching the all-fruit weight relief plan for some thing more effective. only try scaling down on sugars, carbs and fat. no longer suddenly however. That under no circumstances works. gradually decrease out the unneccessary issues, and also you'll start up seeing more effective numbers on the dimensions. sturdy success! Mel

This is a question I have been asking lately. Since the weather gets so crazy hot, I drink constantly. I haven't got in any water problem yet.
Just be aware, when you drink whatever, drink it slowly, like mouthful by mouthful. It helps the body to absorb the water, it also helps to lose weight (I hearded).

No, that's not possible. The worst that could happen is if you drank too much, your stomach couldn't take it anymore and you'd start throwing up.
You can't drown your brain.

Too much water can cause dilution of your electrolytes. The condition you're talking about is called: PSYCHOGENIC DIABETES INSIPIDUS. People drink a lot of water, i.e. non stop. They have dilution of their sodium causing seizures or even coma.
This is a real medical condition that is encountered about once or twice every few months in the ER.

Your cells become over"stretched" with water not being able to hold anything else and may burst. In essence, too much water could cause massive cell death.
