If I except Jesus what am I being saved from sinners, religious people who think they know the way, the devil, or what?

It seems to me since no one on earth in to days times have ever seen the devil then who are we to say that the devil is the one who is tempting us. Please bellieve me I'm not glorifying satan I'm just curious as to why do we always say that we're being saved when if fact it seems that we are actually being saved from our own selves and our own un-Christ like ways and desires.

It seems that living a positive life that is pleasing to God should be good enough.

Religious people you all can get the world mixed up because you all make God out to be a unjust type of God who's mean or something.

I think that God loves me just the way I am, and he loves others just the way they are also.

Sometimes we educate our minds with so much earthly knowlege that we're to educated for God {I wish I could have seen Jesuses diploma--LOL}

God bless all of you!!!!!!!!!!!

The penalty of sin (even one little one) is death.

If you've ever sinned in your life, you need saving from sin and it's penalty (death - eternal separation from God).

He does love you just the way you are. That's why He sent His Son to redeem you long before you ever thought of doing something to deserve it.

And let's face it. None of us deserves the sacrifice He made for us. There is no amount of positive that covers our sins. If we could have been pleasing to God without the sacrifice Jesus made for us, why would God have allowed His Son to live and to die for us?

God is not mean at all, honey, but He is just.

May He bless you, too.

Jesus died a long time ago, the opportunity to be saved by Him is thus long past - the same applies to all of the religions - Living a positive, helpful life is admirable and it would be wonderful if this was all we had to do, but consider how positive and helpful and loyal and loving and obedient some dogs are and I have never heard anyone or any book state anything about dogs in heaven, if you follow my meaning? Also, many deceive themselves that they are living a good and honest life while assisting in the brutal and ungodly business of murdering and devouring animals - it is very clear that one should not eat anything that would, or could, run away from you. I think an awful lot of self professed kind folk are in for an awful fright one day. God bless you my friend!!!!!! .

Have you accepted Jesus into your heart?
Or are you confused and uncertain about the truths, that there is a bunch of religions out there and somehow there is just one.

But the answer to your question"

many people have made a huge mistake. they think the decision is about choosing between GOD and satan

but the real decision is choosing whether or not to live with or without the precious Gift of Jesus.

you see, when you accept Jesus into your heart, you are-like others say-being saved from eternal damnation, hell. but it is much mor than that. the minute you accept the Lamb into your heart, you are safe from everything. okay, so the world still is the same. same wars, same famines, same sin. but when you accept Jesus into your heart, he forgives your past sins, your present sins, and your future sins. you have your name written in the Book of Life, so that when you die, you are garunteed a spot in Heaven, as long as you keep Jesus in your heart. You are saved, because not only do you have the spiritual Blood of Jesus, but the Blessing of knowledge, that you can call upon Our Father at any time, and he will answer your call. It doesn't mean you should walk into bullets for the hell of it, but if you are in need of some kind of Salvation, you can call on Jesus. You are saved from hell, but also from everything

yes, as a Christian and also Born-Again one myself, I admit sometimes i get confused, or side-tracked. but no one is perfect, except Jesus. in fact, you know that the moment you were born you were headed straight for hell. but born-again and, again, you are saved. but sleep peacefully, knowing Jesus is in your heart
(John 16:3=Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but through me")

Romans 10:9-10=If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

"you will be saved"

i could go on forever, but God Bless You, and if you ever have any questions, you can ask me, or better yet, ask God's Word

There has to be a guide line for what type of lifestyle is pleasing to God. If people don't have this guideline, whatever they like they will view as positive. As for Satan, the greatest lie ever told was that he doesn't exist. If you don't believe he exist, then you can't believe that God exist. It is the balance. Good vs evil. It's not so much that the devil wants you to believe in him, he wants you not to believe in God. He comes to steal, kill and destroy. God comes so that you may have life and have it more abundantly. Satan is indifferent about us. He only comes after us to try and hurt God. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son so that we would not parish.
God bless you, stay in prayer and he will answer you.

You are being saved from your own sin.

You say that "It seems that living a positive life that is pleasing to God should be good enough," but it is clear from such a statement that you have neither understood the infinite glory of God nor the numerous shortcomings of your own life.

we are saved from eternal separation from God. The consequences of sin is death---- we can't be good enough because of our sin nature --- we needed a Savior - who is without sin - Jesus became our sacrificial lamb --- he paid the penalty for us---
We don't really see what love is either but we feel the effects---
If my choice is between believing man or God --- I choose God ---- He loves me and since God provided a Savior for sinful mankind --- I don't see how being good and thinking positive will be pleasing to Him if we reject Jesus as Savior - that's not what is required of us to be with God in Heaven --- if that was, then Jesus died for nothing-----
( Continue studying scriptures and asking questions ---that's what I do)

You being saved from eternity in the Lake of Fire, the second death.

Yes, God loves you, ALL of us, but he does not love your sin, and for that, you need forgivness through Christ Jesus.

...salvation... is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
--2 Timothy 2:10

[A]ll men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. John 5:23

"...if ye believe not that I am he,
ye shall die in your sins."
--JESUS CHRIST, JOHN 8:24

Salvation, belief in it, is the only way to Heaven, we will NOT all get there.

If you accept Jesus, you are being saved from thr world....the sins that God the Almighty tell us not to commit. the reason why God gave us the 10 commandments is so that we could protect ourselves because only he know what would becoame of them if we dont obey them. You are being saved from your carnal man...which is your flesh. your physcial man. Jesus came so that we may be saved, from alot of things. When Adam ate that apple, it opened us up fot the devil to attempt what he will. but he can only do what God only allows him to do. Just like God gives us a choice to do good or bad. If we love God and keep his commandments, then we reap everlasting life, if we just do whatever we want to do and do keep Gods commandments them we reap death. not only physical death, but spritual death
Ypu can live a positive life one that is acceptable to God but at the same time, alng with accepting Christ.. repent, which means change from your ways that are not of God and change your thought process and dont do whatever it is that you did again, you have to be Born again of the water and of the Spirit, meaning that you have to be baptized in water, which represents the washing of our sins and th burial of Jesus and also you have to recieve the Holy Ghost which is having the Lord dwell inside you, hith the evidence of speaking in tongues, a heavenly language.. and it is real. You just have to want to do right and want to live a life thats acceptable to God. Everything that i have told you is in the Holy Bible, you just got to wanty to read it and find the truth. Fasting and praying are also required of Him. The only way that you will find out who God really is if you seek and find Him for yourself, then you will see that God charater doesnt change, amn change so God does what he has to do, he judged rightoeusly, because if he tell you not to something and you do it you deserved to be punished, ist just a parent and a child. Find a church home where you feel comfortable and learn the real truth. God Loves you

God Bless
