People get it together!!!! I am not going to work picking up
fruits and packing on warehouse (No ofense to those who do it)
So start treating the illegal people right before they leave us
and we will Starve!! Who is going to do these job if they leave..
You know we aint and the employer aint going to pay more
money for us to do it ...so don't dream about it...We need them
plus they are ok and hard working people...

So instead of complaining appreciate what they are doing...
Because if you keep crying and get them to leave you will
have to start doing these jobs in order to survive .. so Stop
the complains!!! Before they leave us.

There was a report out by the university of iowa called " how much does thet tomato cost ". It talks about this issue. to sum it up, the price for the general labor in produce production is really low cost, and to increase the pay to where it would suit the Americans standards would not even make a noticable difference by the time it got to the consumer. The money that is saved only makes a difference to the producer, and that reduction in overhead very seldom goes to a lower cost of the product, it is pocketed by the producer. so yes, Americans can do the field work, but not for 6.00 hr it will most likley be 10.00 hr and the .50cent apple might go up to about 52 cents because of it . So i say hell yeah , build a wall , fine the employers , put Americans back to work.

I am a college student and I work my butt off for 5.75 an hour. I think that if Americans were given the chance to pick fruit for 6 bucks an hour they would. All of the crackheads that work at the day labor places definately would. At least they are legal. By the way, I don't think Americans are in danger of starving...take a look around you. Illegal immigrants should be made to go back to their country of origin and have to come back in legally...paying taxes, paying bills and taking their 1 week's paid vacation every year like everyone else. Then they can whinge about their "rights".

There are plenty of people sitting at home every day without a job and on welfare who could get off their but and go pick fruit for $6.00 an hour! Let them "leave us". why would I pay more?! As far as who will do these jobs. You
would be surprised. Plus, do you really think they are going to pack up and leave? Please. They are dying to get here! To the people
that have come here for a better life, they will have one legally.

These jobs are not done by Americans because they have been priced out of the job market by illegals who will work for anything.

do you know how many jobs out their are paying only six bucks an hour. do you know how many jobs pay only the federal minimum wage of 5.15 an hour. i don't know what moron told you that no American would work for six dollars an hour because their are many, many who do, and many more who work for less than that. in case you didn't bother to pay attention to Americas culture or her problems, maybe you would know that we have quite the homeless population here, all over this country, people who are unemployed, who cannot find work. and maybe part of that reason is because a bunch of scavenging parasites come to the country, take the jobs and actually believe the country is buying the whole "we're doing jobs Americans don't want to do" that's a load of crap honey and you can bet the American people aren't buying it. that's why your little immigrant day was noticed by no one who really mattered
