The Chi iron. It is a bit more pricey than the dept store ones but is well worth the extra $$$. I think I have bought everything on the market and finally found one that really works. It will not dry out your hair and leave it brittle feeling afterwards plus once it is straightened, it will last until your next shampoo. GREAT for areas with lots of humidy.

I go to cosmetology school and i can tell you that the best sraightener ever is the CHI for sure. It is over $100 but it is a wonderful investment and has a lifetime warranty so pretty much your paying to have a straightener for the rest of your life.

My friend is a hair dresser and she says the best one is a Paul Mitchell ceramic straighter, but I think they are more than 100 dollars. You should talk to your hair dresser and see what she recommends for your hair. Maybe she can also get you a deal on a professional one.

I use Corioliss hair straightener. In my opinion, it is the best one out there. They have different varieties of hair straightners for everyone either your hair is super curly..etc..I think that it's worth investing your money to buying it.

sounds kinda crazy...but watch the info-mercials and theres this one that is on there that they advertise...it's got combs built in and it steams it, so no moisture is lost. I have it, and i have really thick wavy hair, and it used to take me an hour and a half to straighten my hair, now it takes me 10 minutes...i love it!!!
