I'm an 18 year old guy, and still a virgin. I think my best friend is trying to get someone I don't even know to have sex with me. If I was desperate, I would have done it already. I'm waiting until I'm in a relationship with someone who I like as much as they like me. My friend knows my point of view, but he thinks it doesn't matter who I have sex for the first time, because it's something I have to do. I don't understand this attitude.

Your friend is immature. Your "first" should be something you will remember years and years from now. Your "first" should make you blush and your stomach do flip flops. It shouldn't be something done in a heated rush just to say you have. I admire your integrity, and hope it never slips away!

Some people get jealous that you are a virgin and want to force you to have sex with any one. Please don't have sex with some one that you don't like or want to have a relationship with.
A good friend would respect your decision to wait for some one you truly like. A good friend would never place you at risk of getting Aids or STDs, by trying to force you to have sex with some one you don't like.
In future keep your Virginity to your self as other people will try to trick you. You seem like you don't know much about sex and it is best to read and arm your self with information.
Any girl that you are choosing, don't let your close friends know of your plans as they can try and ruin you.

Your view point is right!!! Sex is not just copulation but a lot more emotional factors are involved in that. Wait till you have the right partner, whatsoever your friend thinks. Or is it that your friend have some ulterior motive behind this attitude?

He's a jerk, and must feel insecure about himself to be pressuring you. Maybe he feel less of himself compare to you and if he can make you be more like him he will not feel so less of himself. Its all about peer pressure @ your age. Keep your standards up and good for you for doing so. It shows you’re a good person.
