I have 4 and the 2 seal point ones have faint stripes on the tail.
I am not sure if mine are purebred. They came from my shelter.

Unless you have "papers" on the cat, there is a chance it may not be pure. I have seen Siamese looking kittens in a litter where there are no other Siamese looking kittens and the mother is black. It is a common color pattern.
But the cat may be pruebred anyway. I do not think stripes on the tail are a problem.

I am not an expert on this but I have a mixed siamese and he has a striped tail. It could mean that your cat isn't pure siamese and has some other breed mixed with it.
Siamese are so cute, mine talks to me (in cat of course) and he is so funny. :)

If your cat is still young, her markings will probably become more defined as she matures.

There is a breed of Siamese called Linx Point Siamese - they have very destinctive markings and one of their things is a striped tail. They are a constructed breed by crossing Siamese with Tabbies.

I have a blue-point siamese and his tail is lightly stripped, he's a pure bread. I'm pretty sure that it's common for them to have the stripes.

Alot of them you can see the stripes on the tail. It is really tough to find a purebred siameses anymore. There was a traveling salesman in the woodpile..

I absolutely love Siamese. I have two...one tortise and one seal. Neither one are purebread though...both are males...they are affectionate and very talkative and I wouldn't trade them for the world.....if it has stripes on the tale it is likely that they're not purebread...might have some tabby in her.

You are lucky to have a Siamese cat! They are a joy to have because they are very friendly, playful and "talkative"!

It might be a 'kink' in the family history. But if your cat is young, then her coat colors will be more defined as she gets older.
