I'm a 13 year old female. I'm 5'8 and I weigh 130 pounds. Whenever I look at myself, especially my legs I feel fat.

Girl don't listen to people that tell you your fat. You are only 13 your body is going through all kinds of freak changes one week you thighs look big next week your arms will look fat then your belly then your butt. It is just your bodys way of balancing. If you are truly conserned yourself tyr a HEALTHY diet. Cut out all the sugars in your diet no sodas no candy no sweets. Then try adding a little walking.

NO your NOT FAT your growing.

When I was 13 i weighed 125 and I was not 5'8 and I thought that i was terribly skinny for my height. I am 5'6 now and weigh much more than 130 pounds. Consider yourself one of the lucky ones when it comes to being that size. If someone calls you fat dont listen to them. That is what causes the start of eating disorders. You do not want to become bulimic or anorexic do you?

The CORRECT answer is a resounding NO. I just answered a similar question from a girl who's 4 inches shorter than you, and she was just right. And you are even taller!

plus..at 13, you aren't done growing, and you shouldn't be obsessing about your weight, especially if you are just 130. If you are worried that you aren't "in shape", simply eat sensibly, and get regular exercise, which shouldn't be hard at your age...biking, running, swimming (that's a good one!), hiking...these are all great things- just don't overdo it, and don't forget that when it's "that time of the month", you will retain a little water anyway, leading to that slightly bloated feeling...some girls notice it in their legs/ankles...it tends to go away once the period's over.

SO relax already...you are fine.

Quite seriously, I do not believe you are fat. I am 5'7" and 155 lbs and am mostly skinny but have a guy. Ten pounds makes all the difference, and you are far more than that thinner than me, and taller than me.

Understand that you are your own worst critic, especially being a young female in thi day and age. Take it from me, completely discount how you feel about yourself, it is evident to me that you are biased and view yourself as fat when you are not. Ask objective people (not those that will take the opportunity to say you are fat just to tick you off) and see for yourself - that you are *clearly* skinny and no doubt beautiful.

Chances are it is just your own very critical mind that is telling you that you are fat. Weight is not a very good way to determine if you are fat or not. I'm 18, 6'1 and I weigh 198 pounds, but I have a six-pack... So weight by its self is meaningless...

If you do want to see exactly how you compare find a way to measure you BMI (Body Mass Index)
This has the average weights and height of people in your age group.

no you're not fat, it seems like you have a very athletic body, not thin and not overweight, if you're 5'8" at the age of 13 I'm going to assume you'll grow a lot more in height, most girls dream about being 5'"9 you'll be that around age 14, You by no means are fat.

Ideal body weight is 140 pounds, plus or minus 10% (14 pounds) is still normal. The actual measure is in BMI (body mass index). Search online for a simple BMI calculator to plug in heights and weights and check your BMI. A BMI of under 25 is normal. 25 to 30 is slightly overweight. Over 30 is obese. Over 40 is very obese.

The only way to tell if you are "fat" is to have your body fat percentage measured. 5'8" and 130 Lbs does not sound heavy. But your body-fat percentage should be 18-26%.

You wouldn't be fat at 130 unless you were only around 5'0". At 5'8", 130 lbs is a healthy, nice-looking weight.

im 4 11 and i weigh more than 130 pounds i realy dont think thats fat seriously its not
