usually the average is anywhere from 9 months to 2 years. it depends on how bad the overbite is and how efficient your orthodontist may be.

Well I have had my braces for 2 years and 7 months this month. I wont get them taken off until like Sept. cause I still have an overbite and need to use rubber bands. Just ask your orthodontist and good luck

it totally depends on the severity of the overbite and how long it takes to correct it...could be as short as a year, could be 2 or 3 years....and if the bite isn't that bad, you may only need a retainer. Talk to your dentist.

If the set date is: 18months
then in actual depending on how bad your teath are
it can actually only take up to 5months so you dont have to keep counting down the days and gettings stressed about them,
& once they come off you will have to wear a retainer for at least 1-2 years.
the retainer can be put in at night and you can walk around at day time & eat all you like no pain or lower confidence because of the metal covering your teath
hope this makes you all feel better. ^_^

go ask your orthodontist. Usually it's between a year and a half to 2 years. if the overbite is really exaggerated, possibly four years. if you do get braces [if you don't already have them] make sure you do your rubber bands everyday even if it's horrific looking. It really helps.

depends how severe - but I would think an overbite, may be at least 2 years.

It depends on who bad it is and who your orthodontist is. I would guess eight months to a year.

Your orthodontist should be able to tell you how many months they have estimated it should take to fix your problem, best bet is to ask them.
