Dont put her in a tub full of water. Put her in the kitchen sink so you dont have to bend down. Run the water lightly and make sure its warm. Put her in and pet her for a while until she calms down even just a little. Then let her out. Do this a few times, letting her out after she calms down. Then try with water. And take it quite slow. Keep calming her down. Then shampoo. Depending on how calm she is, you may have to do this in baby steps also.
Of course you dont really have much time to train her, so put her in and forget the baby steps. But still take it slow, no yelling, be firm, grab her by the scruff if she tries to get out. But be gentle. And try to be fast while still being firm AND gentle. Its not easy, but it will end soon enough.
You may have to let the shampoo sit for a while. So keep her in the sink and just pet her. No yelling if she tries escaping. Then rinse her off, make sure ALL the smapoo is out, then towel her off and let her go.
Good luck!

You don't need to bathe her because she has fleas, use Frontline or Advantage. They are flea treatments used once a month, applied to the back of the cat's head. Cats are notoriously famous for disliking bathing. I have tried it before and I got attacked, although a did do some washing of the bottom of a senior citizen cat for a friend and he was so weak and old that I could do it.

do not use water that is warm to you the best is a little above room temprature other wise its too warm for the animal do not have water running when you put the cat in it freaks my cat out use a sink not the big old tub sometimes that helps reward your cat when he has been good after the bath and bath often during the summer I bath my cat once a month to get rid of extra hair.

I'd suggest a flea collar. You'll get it at a pet shop.
Or alternative, consult your veterinarian. But I'm sure he'll advise the same.

Bathing a cat... OMG... Sure, there are (a few) pedigrees athat do like water, and I've heard about a non-pedigree one that did bathed itself in a tub (really!), but these are exceptions that confirm the rule. Cats hate being wet.
We had a cat for 18 years, and we did never, ever tried to bathe her!

If she has fleas, the soap you're using to bathe her might be irritating the bites. Try another form of flea control - there are some treatments that vets can give that are much more effective. Cats don't really need to be bathed otherwise, unless they get into something funky... ;-)

My kitty hates to get a bath, too. There's not much you can do. As a rule, cats hate to get wet. Just try to do it as quickly as possible and talk soothingly to your cat. When you're done, give her a treat. If fleas are a recurring problem, take her to the vet. Your vet can give you Frontline or Revolution. We use Revolution - it's good for multiple things, not just fleas.

If your cat isn't used to being bathed then its going to be a nightmare. Just be glad that she's not scratching you. The only way for a cat to not kill you during a bath is if they have been bathed since they were a kitten and are used to it.

Cats are not the fondest creatures of water, tho there are exceptions :) The meowing is stress tho nothing harmful, fleas are a part of life, there are flea products, but cats need special flea treatments, make sure it says SAFE FOR CATS !!!

Not really, I have 2 cats myself and I have been bathing them since they where kittens, all you can do is get someone to help you and make sure you grab your cat by the "MEAT" of the neck, it doesn't hurt them, that's where there mother use to carry them in her mouth, make sure you make Good eye contact with them letting them know you are the "Alpa Mommy" . Make sure the water is warm not HOT, and try and coax them if you can in a soft tone voice, by saying it's OK, and that you love them, so they feel reassured you are not hurting them on purpose. If your cat has claws, be sure to cut them first, so you don't get scratched...

Good Luck

JUst get the Advantage or Frontline!!!!! Giving her a bath will only get the fleas off her and will not treat the fleas in the house anyway!!!!!!! She will have them back after the next hatching!!!!!!
