Both they and the Israelis are bombing civilian areas, right? Seems like they are either both terrorists or both legitimate military operations.

"Because I do it with one small ship, I am called a terrorist. You do it with a whole fleet and are called an emperor"

Hezbollah is a militia; they don't use suicide bombers. The suicide bombers are desperate palestinian militants who feel that it is the only way to improve living conditions, prevent occupation of their homes/farmland, or draw international attention to the detainment/deaths of relatives.

There are many countries/populations (including those in Europe and Asia) that do not consider Hezbollah or Hamas to be terrorist organizations. Personally, I feel that all groups that commit violent acts should be judged on their actions. However, critical analysis of all perspectives must be pursued in order to make an informed decision on why an individual (or a group) resorts to violence.

The only way for any aggressor (whether legitimate or not) to cease terror activities is to ensure a fair pursuit of all diplomatic means that won't lead to further propogation of aggression (in near or distant future).

Hezbollah, whose name means, "party of God," is a terrorist organization because they seek the annihilation of the state of Israel at any cost.
While both are bombing civilian areas, it is the cowardly Islamists who purposely hide their munitions near highly populated areas. This way, they can claim that the Israelis are purposely killing innocent civilians. The truth of the matter is that Israel has done everything it could to prevent civilian casualties, using forward spotters and laser guided artillery as well as leaflets in advance of bombardment. They even spent hours making telephone calls to those in southern Lebanon.
In contrast, the cowardly Islamists, shoot rockets without guidance towards Israel just to do any kind of damage.
The distinction is important, but the use of warfare is hardly ever an efficient answer. Peace will come when Islam recognizes Israel's right to exist. Israel will prosper when it returns to their original alliance with God, which is their covenants with Him through Abraham, Moses and David. God will protect Israel, as the Islamists will soon discover.

Hezbollah is deliberately targeting civilians while using their own civilians as shields to protect their ammunition dumps and military assets.

It really is descriptive of a persons motives when the criticize Israel for attacking a military target that was placed in a civilian area for the sole purpose of creating civilian casualties if attacked.

Those civilians are being killed by Hezbollah.

Remember that it is a war crime to use civilians to shield military assets from attack.

US is also considered as the best in the world.

Back to your question, Hell yeah they are still terrorist, created by the evil country Iran and backed by Syria to the sole purpose to destroy Israel.

For the above we weren't terrorist, we were freedom fighters. Terrorist is:
a radical who employs terror as a political weapon; usually organizes with other terrorists in small cells; often uses religion as a cover for terrorist activities

Terrorism:
the threat or use of violence, often against the civilian population, to achieve political or social ends, to intimidate opponents, or to publicize grievances. The term dates from the Reign of Terror (1793–94) in the French Revolution but has taken on additional meaning in the 20th cent. Terrorism involves activities such as assassinations, bombings, random killings, and hijackings. Used for political, not military, purposes, and most typically by groups too weak to mount open assaults, it is a modern tool of the alienated, and its psychological impact on the public has increased because of extensive coverage by the media.

BeachBum it seems that you are too foolish to know what a terrorist is because we haven't done these things( assassinations, bombings, random killings, and hijackings)during the revolutionary war. Product of government schooling, yes you are.

Update:
Israel is sitting on ancestral land that rightfully belongs do them for 1000s of years.

update:

and another thing this is war and people happen to die, unfortunately.

the UN told Lebonon to get rid of those bi@&h-a** Islamic zealots and now Israel is doing their dirty work for them. They brought this WAR upon themselves.

You have fallen into the American definition of a terrorist.

During the American Revolution, we could not defeat the British going head to head in battle so we beat them using militias that would ambush their troops. By today's definition, we were terrorist. In that war, we were basically invaded by the British and we were fighting for our independence from them...

So, you see, I don't consider any person who is fighting against an occupation, as terrorist. Unfortunately, most of my fellow Americans are too stupid to grasp this.

Most of them don't realize that Israel was given to the Jewish ppl without consent. I mean what if some outside country decided to give one of our states away.. I'm sure we would not agree and fight against that.
