Yes, for God is reasonable. One man did that, and God allowed him to negotiate. He was Abraham. Remember the account where Abraham asked God not to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah if there were 20 righteous ones. That was negotiation.

But, remember God will allow you to negotiate with him provided the following conditions are met:
1) What you are asking for is not against His will.
2) What you are asking him will enable him to reveal his lovable qualities of: love, mercy, justice, wisdom, knowledge, and power.

Hope I you got the point.

Yes you can. This is contrary to popular belief, only because people are ignorant... There is actually an account in the Bible of Abraham negotiating with God over the cities of Sodomn and Gomorrah.

" 20 Then the LORD said, "The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous 21 that I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. If not, I will know." 22 The men turned away and went toward Sodom, but Abraham remained standing before the LORD. [e] 23 Then Abraham approached him and said: "Will you sweep away the righteous with the wicked? 24 What if there are fifty righteous people in the city? Will you really sweep it away and not spare [f] the place for the sake of the fifty righteous people in it? 25 Far be it from you to do such a thing—to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge [g] of all the earth do right?" 26 The LORD said, "If I find fifty righteous people in the city of Sodom, I will spare the whole place for their sake." 27 Then Abraham spoke up again: "Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, though I am nothing but dust and ashes, 28 what if the number of the righteous is five less than fifty? Will you destroy the whole city because of five people?"
"If I find forty-five there," he said, "I will not destroy it." 29 Once again he spoke to him, "What if only forty are found there?"
He said, "For the sake of forty, I will not do it." 30 Then he said, "May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak. What if only thirty can be found there?"
He answered, "I will not do it if I find thirty there." 31 Abraham said, "Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, what if only twenty can be found there?"
He said, "For the sake of twenty, I will not destroy it." 32 Then he said, "May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?"
He answered, "For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it." 33 When the LORD had finished speaking with Abraham, he left, and Abraham returned home." (GENISIS 18:20-33)

hope that helps

Negotiate as in what? A person can ask for forgiveness and TURN from their wrongful deeds. Forgiveness of sin is not a license to sin. God can forgive but He is not going to be fooled. God will not approve a sin for one person but not approve it for another. God does not change. He can't turn His back and say it is OK to sin--but He can forgive. Live like we;re forgiven, there will be no need to negotiate.

Absolutely not...God laid out a plan for humanity, and really it's not that difficult to live accordingly. If one believes that God does negotiate, I would then think they must think that only some of the commandments are meant for them, and not all of them. I wouldn't call it negotiation, but if you admit to being a sinner, and confess your sins to God, own up to them and truly be sorry, then you are given His free gift of mercy and salvation, and he's already paid for those sins in advance.

I don't think God negotiates, that's why Jesus was here(in a matter of speaking) and not enough people wanted to listen to him way back when. Certain societies showed God who would follow and who would not. We have to try to look at it from his point of view, he gave us his son - who would teach us, amongst other things and we hung him & let him die. Yes he pitties us, but why negotiate.

No we can not negotiate with God. Compared to God, you are but filthy rags. (menstruation cloths). You can however get down on your knees and pray to Him in Jesus Christ's name asking forgiveness. Then, making a change in your life to follow after Him. Its always in His Will, not yours.

Our Father wants to bless you abundantly if you will only allow Him to.><>

Negotiation is a strong word, but He's all ears so, pray and ask and see what his answer is, but your supposed to submit to the will of God, so accept what ever His answer is. It shows humility, and you'll be tremendously blessed for it.

Not really. You can talk to him... but its utimately going to be his will. He will give you free will, but you will end up suffering the consequences. You can ask God why? But you can't sit around trying to make deals with him. What if he sat around making deals about his crucifixion? What if he negotiated with God, we all would be lost in sin, with nowhere to turn to get salvation.

Yes!

However, it never turns out good!
Abraham talk God from 50 to 10 worthy people in number in Sodom

Moses did and God spared the jews, but they would have been better off with a small group of faithful men than a bunch of whinners that had to wait 40 years to die off!

See Exodus 32:7-14

Also there is another one in either kings or cronicles where a king asks to live longer but it also ended bad!
2kings chapter 20

II Ki 20:1-21
1In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, "This is what the LORD says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover."
2Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD,
3"Remember, O LORD, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
4Before Isaiah had left the middle court, the word of the LORD came to him:
5"Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of my people, 'This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the LORD.
6I will add fifteen years to your life. And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my sake and for the sake of my servant David.'"
7Then Isaiah said, "Prepare a poultice of figs." They did so and applied it to the boil, and he recovered.
8Hezekiah had asked Isaiah, "What will be the sign that the LORD will heal me and that I will go up to the temple of the LORD on the third day from now?"
9Isaiah answered, "This is the LORD's sign to you that the LORD will do what he has promised: Shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or shall it go back ten steps?"
10"It is a simple matter for the shadow to go forward ten steps," said Hezekiah. "Rather, have it go back ten steps."
11Then the prophet Isaiah called upon the LORD, and the LORD made the shadow go back the ten steps it had gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.
12At that time Merodach-Baladan son of Baladan king of Babylon sent Hezekiah letters and a gift, because he had heard of Hezekiah's illness.
13Hezekiah received the messengers and showed them all that was in his storehouses-- the silver, the gold, the spices and the fine oil-- his armory and everything found among his treasures. There was nothing in his palace or in all his kingdom that Hezekiah did not show them.
14Then Isaiah the prophet went to King Hezekiah and asked, "What did those men say, and where did they come from?" "From a distant land," Hezekiah replied. "They came from Babylon."
15The prophet asked, "What did they see in your palace?" "They saw everything in my palace," Hezekiah said. "There is nothing among my treasures that I did not show them."
16Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear the word of the LORD:
17The time will surely come when everything in your palace, and all that your fathers have stored up until this day, will be carried off to Babylon. Nothing will be left, says the LORD.
18And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood, that will be born to you, will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon."
19"The word of the LORD you have spoken is good," Hezekiah replied. For he thought, "Will there not be peace and security in my lifetime?"
20As for the other events of Hezekiah's reign, all his achievements and how he made the pool and the tunnel by which he brought water into the city, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
21Hezekiah rested with his fathers. And Manasseh his son succeeded him as king.
(NIV)

So why negotiate with the one who has your best interest in mind!!!!!

Job wanted to negotiate with God on being Just and he did not get too far!

I dont think God will negotiate about salvation though because Jesus was a fair negotiation already!
