Agreed. No such thing. It is just a description of an undersized, often unhealthy puppy. Instead, find a "regular old" chihuahua breeder of high standing and great reputation, and tell them you would like a smaller-sized dog. They will know which puppies will be their smallest, but still happy, healthy, and long-lived. Make sure you ask for references and call them, see the home, see the parents, ask a lot of questions about health and temperament, ask about the longevity of the puppy's lines, and get a health guarantee. You won't regret the extra work!

I'll go find you the link to the Chihuahua club, where you can find responsible breeders to research. Back in a flash...

Here you go! You will find all of the information you need at this site. It's the Chihuahua Club of America, the National Club for the breed in the US.

Best of luck to you!

the person that said there is no such thing as a teacup chihuahua is indeed correct. Alot of breeders try to scam buyers into buying their runt of the litter for big bucks - which should be being sold for cheaper than the normal sized pups. So don't fall for that - just get a regular chihuahua - good luck.

There is no such thing as a teacup chihuahua. There are some unscrupulous breeders in Texas that advertise teacup chis for1,000's of dollars. One such breeder asks only $14,850 for her so called teacups, so good luck finding one at a good price.
