They'll just come up with some other lame excuse as to why all of their attention is directed to just Mexicans.

A lot of the questions focus on Mexicans, and some issues, like the Aztlan thing and disrespecting the flag and the in-your-face attitude about 'rights' of illegal immigrants to continue to use the services we pay for seem almost exclusively Mexican.
However, for me the bottom line is strained services, in particular education which is failing our children. I don't care where they come from.

Because those that support amnesty for illegals are always bringing up the alleged hatred of Mexicans, that is why. I am against all illegal immigrants that are currently in America. If you let your Visa run out, go fix it and you are more then welcome. If you don't you are breaking the laws and slapping every legal immigrant who endures the loops of citizenship right in the face. I personally would hate to be b*tch slapped if I was a legal immigrant.

All illegals should be looked at, not just the one from Mexicans. And to respond to the others that answered we shouldn't care...well we should. My best friend's husband spent hundreds of dollars to become a U.S. Citizen the RIGHT WAY and now he gets to sit back and watch Mexican illegals whine and moan about how they should have rights....now tell me why he shouldn't be bitter about that?
Sorry if I sound mean and oppressive...it's just not fair that he had to pay for American rights and other people are coming over here illegally and demanding them instead of earning them.

I don't think that it's only Mexican immigrants who are the highlight of the current question being asked: "Should illegal immigrant's be given a better chance to share in America? ...although it does appear that way sometimes, doesn't it? Chalk that up to our politicians and the media.
I was in Chicago at the time of the Immigration rally and I was impressed by the number of ethnic illegal immigrant groups who marched side by side, all of them asking as a group for greater recognition of their current life situations. It was a surprisingly multi-community rally and an honorably peaceful one. I had to give them all, ( Mexican, Polish, Indian, Indonesian, etc., etc. ) a very fair and long second look - I felt compelled to listen carefully to their joint request.
I won't say that I completely favor the idea of offering expanded services to those who continue to remain illegally in the US; however, I believe that for those who wish to register and study the English language, the American constitutional structure and its meaning, and then, to make their pledge to remain here as honest, tax paying, law abiding, legal citizens, we ought to extend an olive branch.
Yes... I favor the idea that there ought to be immediate accumulative changes made to help out these struggling individuals... Mexican, Cuban, Russian, Canadian, Central American, and all.
In fact, it would be far to costly to round them all up and ship them over the boarder, back to their places of origin... thus, making citizens of them is to our benefit in that way at the least. Also on the plus side - they number in the millions and that converts into a lot of new collectable tax dollars.

Yes. I feel the same. People need to come here legally! The reason
Mexicans are continually brought up is because they are the ones
holding rallys and protests! Get that! Illegals holding rallys and protests in the US of A! They are not even suppose to be here!
If I entered another country Illegally what do you think would happen to me?! Do you think they would let me stay?! You've got to be crazy if you think they would welcome me in! We have laws here
for a reason. Our Country was founded on laws!!!!!!!! What
good are they if people begin to think they are above the law?!
If I break the law I would go to jail. I only expect the same of others
who break the law!

Any illegal immigrant is breaking the law, and they need to be punished in the appropriate and just manner. Its not about racism, i have no problem with people who take the time to obtain legal citizenship, they did it the right way and deserve to be able to stay. It can't be classified as racism, because then i would be racist against all criminals apparently, and criminals isnt a race.

Your question is "irrelevant" actually. These people are concerned ABOUT .......one thing.......ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.
Yet....have yet to post a valid concern about any other "illegal" besides our Mexican neighbors......so many other...CONCERN me.
Oh and another thing........where were all these "concerned" citizens 15 years ago...these migrants have been here for DECADES. Where were our "Border groups" then?
15 years ago we were enjoying lunch with "migrant workers" (back then I called them friends......I was too young to label) and they were accepted lovingly in the community.......now they are vilified. Funny how a political agenda picks and chooses your friends.
