They eat "seeds" or "pellet"..whatever your feeding them the most all the time. Whenever they feel like it so you should have food in there 24 hrs. a day.

That's why they say eat like a bird because they eat several times a day.

But, fruits, veg. millet or other extras that he/she likes then give it to them at the same time once or twice everyday.

It all varies. Lovebirds dont have specific eating times, they nibble at their food throughout the day. Always keep food on hand because starvation can occur in as little as 16 hours (same with water).

In the wild, most parrots will forage all day, but they have a twice a day social feeding time. It's usually early in the morning as soon as the sun is up, and again in the evening as the sun starts to set. You could feed your love bird all day, but in pet bird this leads to obesity as they can't exercise like they would in the wild. Many people have found success feeding their birds once in the morning and again in the evening, just like they would eat in the wild.

If you'd like to make feeding time more interesting, you cal always stuff some hay and their regular food in a crumpled piece of paper. Put several of these in the cage and the bird gets to exercise its natural foraging urges and it turns the paper into a toy.

Most birds generally eat 2-4 times a day.

when they wake up after they preen.

after a mid day nap for some birds.

mid afternoon for some birds

and when you eat dinner.

Birds should have food available at all times with lots of fresh fruits and veggies, and bird safe human food.

Your supposed to have food out all the time. Change it when there's a lot of seed shells
