there is this boy I am talking to. I sort of like him, and he says he really likes me. We were emailing back and forth, and right be for he left, he said, "i love you". I don't know if it should scare me, because we've never met in real life. He's a friend of a friend, so I know he's not some 40 year old creep or something. What should I do?

How cute. Tell him that he doesn't love you but that you are flattered. He just likes you a lot and hasn't been taught how to express it. A lot of the time, when we as males feel 'new' feelings for a person that we've never felt before, we think: "THIS must be what love is!!" and immediately we want to shower it on the object of our affection. However, only through years of learning about sacrifice and the trials of life. Imperfection and forgiveness do we truly understand what it is to LOVE someone, in a romantic sense.
post- Although, this is only if you have been emailing back and forth for quite a while.

A guy you've never met in real life sent you an email saying he loves you, is creepy. This guy is wierd, tell him that freaked you out. But I guess do whatever you feel is right. Be careful this guy could be a loon.

I think that you should ask your friend more about him.I don't think your friend would set you up for something bad but that is kinda fast.I don't think e-mailing back and forth with a friend should be saying that already.I think you should take your computer and RUN.It took a year for my man to say i love you!!What did you say in your e-mails girl.

Well it is kind of wierd that he said that with out meeting you in person but I do believe that you can feel strongly for someone though with out actually seeing them... I mean if you have been totaly honest with one another then you already know each other... So he could love you.

i think it sounds fine
just keep talking to him and getting to know him
you know hes not some freaky old guy or something
like talk on the voice and on webcam and stuff, just to make sure
if you want to meet him, take his friend and a friend of yours.
so that way its balanced.

I think there is no reason to be afraid. But be honest, don't lie to be polite. You don't have to respond either, if you don't enough times when he says that, he'll likely take the hint.

How long have you been e-mailing back and forth?Do you love him?If you love him girl....go for it.But if you don't love him don't say it back....you could really hurt him.Just tell him your not sure if you love him...and you just don't want to say it because he did.... and hurt him.Just be honest.
