Nobody knows when Jesus will return. Anybody who says they know when Jesus will return is a false prophet.... i.e. a liar.

As for the 'secret rapture' mentioned above:

This is a man-made doctrine that was developed in the 1830's by John Nelson Darby.

This teaching says that Jesus will come in secret and take away all the 'saved' people to allow them to avoid the tribulation.... then he will come again to start the Millennium, then again at the end of that period to Judge the world.

People who teach this false doctrine want their students to believe that Jesus will come again. ...... and again ... and again.

I have to ask... "Where is THAT in the Bible?"

No. First off, what exactly are "the signs"? It's like your daily horoscope; people tend to look for things during your day that match what their horoscope predicted. Likewise, people tend to misattribute any little quarrel to a Sign of the End.

Second, people have been foretelling the End Times for eons. As shown below, dozens of dates have been predicted for the end of the world.
* Psalmology predicted Jesus's return in 2004.
* Jack Van Impe Ministries predicted "drought, war, malaria, and hunger afflicting entire populations throughout the [African] continent...By the year 2001, there will be global chaos." Not so much.
* The Mayan and Aztec calendars predict that the world will end around 12/20/2012.

I'm sure that as we pass these dates, the doomsayers will suddenly notice an error in their calculations, and predict a new date a few years out. Just long enough to keep the flock worried.

With a zealot like GW in the White House, an individual who firmly believes in the rapture, I fear we live in perilous times. Y'see, we have a Prez who doesn't see a problem with contributing to global catastrophes such as an expansion of war in the Middle East, or global warming, or any of that apocalyptic stuff, cuz he's gonna be saved! Hallelujah. Tough s*it for the rest of us (ie the non-believers) if his zealotry screws us all. And, for the record, Christianity is far from the most widely observed religion on this Earth, and believers in the rapture are an even smaller segment, which, statistically, makes you abnormal in your beliefs.

The ways of God are not the ways of man. It seems so very easy to interpet signs incorrectly.

The return of Jesus has been speculated about throughtout the ages based on "signs". To date, He has not returned.

Therefore, it would seem to be very unlikely that it will happen within our lifetime.

This is not, of course, a reason to live life in any other manner than that which would ensure if Jesus returned tomorrow you would be one of the "sheep" and not one of the "goats".

We currently live in the end times , if you are a Christian then keep looking up, as we will soon be raptured. If you are not a Christian then the tribulation will be a dreadful time to live through. Start reading the Holy Scriptures NOW and find Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

The Bible prophesies all the events occurring, but the Bible also says His coming isn't until all the events and prophecies have been fulfilled. Seas boiling, Moon bleeding, etc. Most important the antichrist will reveal himself to the world and the things he will do. for example: All should believe one religion, mark of the Beast (665 + 1)
concentrate in coming in touch with God so that you become saved and escape His wrath when it comes to the unbelievers

Only the Father knows, for it will be quick, like a thief in the night.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-10
5:1 Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

4 But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. 5 You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 6 So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. 9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him.
NIV

Those who believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, will be taken home.

John 14:2-7
2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going."

5 Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?"

6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him." NIV

Yes, we are in the end times, however it will still be a while.

In other words; the war hasn't progressed enough to really worry yet.

Remember most will be fooled by the antichrist before the "real" end times starts.
