Congratulations!!! In the vote of the two I would definitely say Amelila. I've known a lot of parents who have recently named their daughters Abigail and can't say that I've known one to go with Amelia. When my ex-wifes's brother had a girl they named her Abigail. I think they spelled it different though. Anyhow... go with your best instinct. For both of my kids I used the back porch test. Visualize standing out on your back porch and try screaming out the kids entire name to get them to come inside. If it's tongue-trippy you might not want to go with that.

Well Abigail will definately get shortened to Abby, which is a cute name, but it doesnt sound like you want that. So I would go with Amelia, that is a cute name, and its different. If you and your hubby cant decide you can always use both Amelia Abigail. that sounds good.

Amelia i like best. Right now abigail is one of the most popular names to a girl. Just think of her being in school and them calling roll and there is 5 other abigails in her class.

Amelia sounds a lot prettier and abigail is too common. Maybe if you two can agree on a name you could use one as a middle name. Ameila Abigail sounds okay.
