I don't hold in my emotions.
... But then again, I'm gay.
That's the problem with these straight men... They feel like someone's going to call them a poon for telling someone how they feel.
*I* am supposed to be the pansy here. Not you "manly" men.

Yeah, women talk a good story about how men should let out their emotions, and should learn to cry. But, we soon notice these same women are actually sleeping only with men who hold it in.
The screen examples I use are John Wayne, and Woody Allen.
John Wayne certainly holds it in, and he always had the babes following him anywhere.
Woody Allen is a real show-your-emotions type of guy, and he usually plays a divorced guy, or a guy who can't get a woman. And, both are believable in their roles. No one could ever believe Woody as the great lover trying to fight off aggressive women.

We have been trained since the beggining of time to be the protector and provider. In a world which is basically the survival of the fittest the weak go down. We love just the same as women, but we don't show emotions.

The media has warped men's brains into thinking that they must be the tough guy that doesnt get hurt and he'll always be there to rely on. Otherwise they're protrayed as whimpy and girly for showing how they feel. Thankfully, there are still a few good men out there who havn't let the media affect them.

Because women use mens emotions against them because we can't keep up with womens emotions and ours are much more straight forward. So when time after time our feelings which we expose are thrown up in our faces. WE LEARN NOT TO SHARE THEM. If you women would practice 1/5th of the compassion you preach then perhaps it would be safe for us to do so.

Because Men were raised that boys don't cry, to suck it up and not act like a baby, so on and so forth. I think it is a huge burden to carry and everyone needs to let it out sometime.

Pride.
Dads tend to look down on their boys for being sensitive, so it has gone on like that forever.
I see these "sensitive" "politically correct" dads (and their families) in todays culture and that actually looks like it causes more harm than good.

Because we teach them to when they are young. We tell them that "big boys don't cry," and that it is not okay to express anger.
