The dew point is the temperature that the dew would form at with the current humidity. Humidity is the water vapor in the air. Warmer air can hold more water vapor so as the air cools it eventually can't hold all the water vapor and it condenses and forms dew

The dew point is the temprature that it has to be for dew to form. Humidity is the amount of moisture in the air. The higher the humidity, the higher the dew point.
