I know this isnt exactly a pregnancy and parenting question, but i figured i would ask it in this category because usually parents have good remedies for this kind of thing. I have over 20 bug bites on my leg. it itches so bad, i tried putting cortizone on it and its not helping. anyone have any remedies? preferably something that would commonly be found in a house because i cant go to the store right now.

Since you didn't say what kind of bug bites I'll direct you to a site that covers many different types of bug bites. Generally no one thing works for all bug bites. With my kids, flea , chigger, fire ant and a few others reqired different things to stop the itch and sting. Go here and see if it helps you.

What you need is Calamine Lotion, or just plain old baking soda, but you will need to add a little water and make a paste out of it, and it does help. I was once lightly disfigured by "noseeums" having spent a night in tent near a swamp, and the baking soda worked for me then. Good luck.

Smash up some aspirin in a little bit of water to make a paste, and rub it on the bug bites. This has always worked for my kids, and my daughter gets really bad reactions to them.
