I'm here because I happen to like the R&S category. And I'm an atheist because there's no evidence for the existence of a god or gods.

Yes. I assume you mean why am I an atheist? I am an atheist because when you understand the reasons for religion you realize that it's just a lie meant to deceive people.

Yup, I'm an atheist here... because we like you! And for the record, there is no scientific evidence of the existence of God. There is only Christian mumbo-jumbo and manipulation of numbers that have no meaning.

There are no Atheists. There are only agnostics with varying degrees of certainty. You see, it takes just as much faith to disregard the unprovable as it does to embrace it.

I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html ).
