hahahahaha ...... cute

Don't think I would want to be the one to strip the skin/hair off the mice and then retrieve what little meat they have on 'em.

But they do have birds in cat food ... is called chicken or turkey lol

I think, otherwise, it would be expensive cat food. But thanks for making me laugh. Very good question

Because they are not of the wild all of the cats who have the luxury of eating out of a can is a human cat & most likely spoiled
like the rest of us. Mice Snakes and Birds are the food that is
like out there for what you call tough love . Know what I mean like for strays. And those are the ones with skills. Like hunters, they are skilled and can survive unlike those who play Xbox or Playstation, etc. It is better to be the hunter than to lay around eating out of cans . Skills is where it's at . Here have a bird

Because mice are little and cows are big? Well, actually, petfood companies probably have an easier time getting a supply of beef, chicken and fish parts from companies that have animal parts they don't want. Currently, I am not aware of any food manufacturers that use mice, birds (other than chickens or guinea hens) or snakes for human consumption - that would have leftovers to sell to pet food companies.

Several reasons...... more than I know for sure, but there aren't any regulations that safeguard the meat of mice, snakes, etc Meat that goes into animal food , still is tested to make sure there is no........mad cow disease for example. Another reason, I don't think the supply could meet the demand........ I'm sure there are many more reasons

Most cats just kill mice. Mine will bite the heads off of mammals, but that's it. The reason is because it is cheaper to use the leftovers of products used for humans than it is to hire mice wranglers.

Because we have parts of animals that we kill that are left over and are already killed and processed.

Horse meat from companies that make glue.

Bovine meat from places that make cutlets, but don't use all the internal organs and various muscular structures.

Fish heads/bones from places that only use the meat of the fish.

It's actually more repsonsible that way. We use the entire animal we kill by selling to other companies the parts that we wouldn't eat, which is what feeds our pets.
