God forgives everything right? It's whatever you believe... but I don't think kids do. I've never met more messed up kids in my lief than the children of divorce. People really need to think twice before getting a divorce... really should try to make it work... of course unless there is abuse or whatever. People are so quick these days to call it quits, put their needs or selfish desires in front of their spouse. Marriage is a unity, like the joining of a team, it requires teamwork and energy on both parts. If one or both people are too self-consumed to put in that energy then that is unfortunate. I'm sure God will forgive it though.

Matthew 19:9 says that fornication is the only scriptural grounds for a divorce with the possibility of remarriage. If you have definate proof that your marriage mate has been unfaithful then you are faced with a difficult decision. Infedeltiy in the marriage is the ONLY scriptural grounds for divorce, not sure if that answered your question but if you are truly repentant for your sins you will be fogiven and your slate "whiped clean"

I don't forgive but am not GOD. It's like a video game if you know your losing a game you don't worry too much you get 2 more lives to play with. Like marriage when you think your losing feelings of love, why should you worry get a paper stating you can try and play again as much as you want over and over until you don't know how many husband or wife or whatever there names are. Its like that commercial for staples if things get harder for you press the easy button every time.

i dont really know if i actually believe in god...maybe...probably...but when i get caught up in the logical world, it doesn't make sense, but then again, it does. id just rather stay out of the whole religion area, it causes arguments...a lot. some people hate me because of it. they go "you loser, you've never gone to church? well you better go!" well, i dont have time for that kinda stuff. actually, church seems kinda boring and pointless. i dont know why people get so defensive about their religions, we can believe what we want.
about your divorce problem, im pretty sure god doesnt care all that much about your divorce. if it was for a good reason, im pretty sure you wont end up in hell. i hope, anyways=] im j/k. but good luck with the remarrying thing if its happening.

Actually there is one unforgivable sin and that is non belief not divorce. So yes I believe that God would forgive a divorce even though he does not like a divorce.

No one knows what God likes or dislikes..
You have to answer that for yourself. If you fall in love again, and want to remarry, and it feels right, then do it.
As long as you do things that make you happy, fill your life with love, and grow as a person, there is no reason for God to look down on it.
When I make decisions, and I'm not sure how God would feel about it, I make sure that I would be able to defend my choices!

This is a question you are asking because some preist or rabbi told you something that is bothering you, and now you need some sort of approval on it. This is not the place to get it. The net and Yahoo is bullshit for satisfying your soul on these very important issues. Go, investigate, look up your own Qoran, or Torah, or Bible or whatever; Go to your family, your mother or sister, or brother, or Minister. These idiots will tell that hell is in your toilet and if you flush you will go down the drain and die, just to watch you get scared and cry. dont do this to yourself.

God forgives all sin. The real question is whether you can forgive yourself. I don't feel all divorce is wrong, but only you know what motives you had.
