My daughter is 8 and has been taking showers alone for quite some time. It depends on the individual child. They must be respondsible enough to be left in a shower alone. I started off staying in there with her and when she told me to get out, I knew she was ready. Just be sure to teach the child about safety procedures in the shower and you need to make it as safe as possible. Start by controlling the soap and shampoo. Also, make sure there's non-slip surface in the tub. Good luck and enjoy the "freedom" this gives you!!

Mine is 12 and still takes baths as I never here the shower run while he is in there. I remember when I took baths up until I was about 13. When they hit an age where they start using a lot haircare products it they usually prefer to take showers instead of baths because it is too much of a hassle to lather, rinse, repeat, condition, leave on hair for five minutes then rinse.

A good way that I remember my mom doing is around 6 or 7 years old is to get in the shower with me we took a shower together so she could show me how to use the shower and the whole bathing while standing up and not in a tub of water technique.

My son is 12 and a half and still likes a bath. His older brother started showering when he was about 8 or 9. I think it depends on the child. I may be overprotective but I stayed in the bathroom until they were about 5, then near the bathroom until about 7.

around 5 or 6 was when my kids started to take showers. Probably after 3 or 4 months they were able to manage on their own with me only checking to make sure that they got all the shampoo out. It really depends on whether or not they can get the job done well and if the shower scares them to death.

My son is 3- he enjoys taking showers yet purely in a bath he can carry the bathe head. He fairly would not even like taking baths, he will opt for a bath over a bath each and every time. I nonetheless go over him after hes performed "cleansing" himself, and that i help with washing his hair besides, yet when it changed into as a lot as him he might want to do it himself. Like maximum have suggested, its really as a lot because the youngster, Jace is amazingly self sufficient and continually has been, he loves doing each and every thing on his own ;) sturdy success!

Our kids have taken showers with us since they were babies. My 8 year old son just started taking showers on his own during this past year. They still both take baths though as well.

I don't have kids but i didn't start taking showers by myself until i was about six years old so i mean they i was in that stage where i wanted to do things by myself so i mean wait till your kid hits that stage and then you'll see that not all kids start to do thatat the same age.

I think it's got to have at least a couple of qualifiers.

First off, you don't want them to start before they can safely stand up and take a shower. So, no toddlers.

Secondly, it may be something that has to wait until they want to do so. Maybe they finally want to be like mom or dad and take the shower.

I think that before the teens, maybe 9-10 years old, give or take.

Love as always,

Sebastian
